I was hoping that YouTube would have been incorporated into the firmware, rather than being a separate app, so that we can check out gameplay videos on the fly instead of having to reboot the game on each occasion.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
No complains on app it self just that Nintendo devices has poor WiFi connection catch, so I need watch/listen videos at 480p or less at my room when other devices catches full connection.

Works fine in handheld mode. Have no need to watch it in docked mode, as i have a TV with YouTube built in which does the job. The nice bit is that today, i can watch YouTube on Switch with the kickstand holding it up, leaving both my hands free to enjoy my lunch.
I'd much rather have a proper web browser. Would make it convenient to look up hints on the internet while playing without having dig out your phone or boot up your PC.
Just got the Switch as a gift and after my first week of use I seem to have one issue that has me scratching my head. The audio is nonexistent when watching YouTube videos. It’s occorred three times in 7 days. At no other time is the audio missing. Running latest firmware. Reinstalled YouTube app. Docked and undocked the issue persists. I did have audio while using wired headphones, but it could just have been luck. Anyone else having this issue? I looked through about ten pages of threads and haven’t seen this as a topic. Figured since this thread deals with YouTube I’d ask you all. Thanks.
1. You have to exit anything else you are in to use the app. I've looked up game tips and walkthrough videos, and had to exit out of the video game.
2. No Playback speed options. A ton of podcast YouTube videos I adjust to about 1.5 speed or higher. I have no such freedom to slow or speed up a video on the YouTube app.
I'm still glad we finally have YouTube.

I don't personally use youtube with Switch, have my laptop for that. Only one channel subscription zackscottgames, he is the man so hilarious (unlike adultswitchgamers, you do not have to be an adult without humor sense zack is prime example for that) and great videos.
@Eagle9 I’ve found myself ending a game and jump into watching some videos on YouTube on my Switch. Bigger than my phone screen but oddly the speakers on my phone are better. I only do this playing in handheld though. Never used it on tv.
Switch is quicker connected to my tv than my laptop. Also, I can use my laptop while using youtube on the Switch on TV. So yeah, I am one of those heading for 1500+ hours of Youtube on my Switch
