Baten Kaitos I & II, plus I'm expecting Pikmin 1+ 2 in the post the next day or so.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

Xenoblade Définitive Edition, second hand. Still have to receive it. I have never played any similar game (except a bit of Blue Dragon a long time ago and did not really liked it), so that would be a discovery. I thought that at 27€, that seems a good price. Fingers crossed.

Metroid Prime Remastered! I shouldn’t have ignored the series for so long, it’s really good so far. I also spent a good portion of my money on the TotK Zelda and Noah & Mio amiibo recently if that counts lol. I’m planning on buying Warioware Move It next along with Astral Chain sometime in the future

Yey! The Tears Of The Kingdom Pro Controller arrived today. Looks cool and serious. I hope Nintendo will release some, that look more colourful and fun though. I have a Donkey Kong Pro Controller and I love the look and feel of it. The weight is also a little bit lighter. But it lacks the gyro aim, which is very handy for Tears Of The Kingdom.

I am glad to have both now.

@Jhena Do you have a link or picture of the Donkey Kong controller? Me wanna see.

@Jhena Yes, I can see the appeal, definitely. I like the designs on quite a few of those PowerA controllers actually, might be tempted to pick some up. Dismissed them previously due to the cable but they do look really good. Do you play with yours? If so, how does it hold up?

Grabbed a bunch of games during the early September sale at the start of the month though never got around to posting about them here for a number of reasons (school starting up, catching a very bad cold, etc.) so better late than never, huh? XD

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim (€18)
Untitled
Anyone who knows me will be well aware of the fact that I absolutely ADORE narrative-driven adventure games. From well-known pillars of the genre such as Ace Attorney (and Ghost Trick) to more obscure yet just as compelling indies like Murder By Numbers, it's a style of game that I've become extremely fond of over the past 2-3 years. And if there's one title that I've heard nothing but absolutely STELLAR things about that fits into that mould perfectly while also looking incredibly unique both visually AND gameplay-wise? It's 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Not going to be getting around to it immediately due to both having an immense backlog of games I have to get through to begin with and wanting to make sure I have the time necessary to fully throw myself into a game as story-heavy as this one but the minute I do? I guarantee you I'll be talking about it for weeks on end.

The Messenger (€5)
Untitled
Team Sabotage have made a very big name for themselves lately with the runaway success of Sea of Stars, firmly cementing their place as one of THE indie developers to watch out for. And while I definitely intend on playing through SoS at some point myself, I actually want to start off with their debut title (and arguably the one that put them on the radar in the first place) in The Messenger. Messenger has had my attention for the longest while ever since I first saw people streaming it around it's release in 2018 but it's only now that I finally took the plunge and bought it thanks to the combination of it being on sale for an absolute bargain price of €5 and me REALLY getting into Ninja Gaiden-like platformers after beating NG for the first time recently. Again, it'll probably be one I wait to properly dive into but if it's even close to the level of pure frenetic fun that Ninja Gaiden was/is then I think I'm gonna have a great time.

Castlevania Anniversary Collection (€4)
Untitled
Continuing my ever-growing collection of....well, collections, Castlevania has been a series I've wanted to dive into so badly ever since I first tried out Bloodlines on NSO: the gothic aesthetic, killer music and run-n-jump gameplay loop had me hooked for weeks on end. And yet, I could never find the opportunity to grab the Anniversary Collection for one reason or another so the series eluded me for the longest while. However, thanks to the recent sale dropping it down to it's lowest ever price along with Halloween fast approaching, it was finally time to bite the (silver) bullet and see what exactly makes Castlevania tick. Gonna be playing 1 & 2 over the Halloween season and will most likely binge all of the other titles available over the rest of the year as well, can't wait to massacre legions of the undead with one mighty whip! (also I imagine @Zuljaras would probably be very happy to see this )

*Golf Peaks/Captain Commando (€1 + €2)
Untitled
Untitled
Not too much to say about these ones since I mainly got them purely due to their pricetag but Golf Peaks looks like a cute puzzle game about one of my personal favourite sports/hobbies and Captain Commando is a very important title to Capcom's history which, with me being the Capcom fanboy that I am, I simply HAD to get.

and because I took so damn long to get this written up, I've only gone and made ANOTHER digital purchase in the time since XD

Pokemon SV: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero (€35)
Untitled
Beat the Teal Mask portion of this DLC about a week ago and had a pretty good time overall. While it definitely shares a lot of the issues that base SV had (and in some cases exasperates them like the performance), it's wrapped up in a much more memorable package with a fun selection of new/returning mons, charming sidequests and a compelling ministory with great new characters. An easy recommendation from me if you already enjoyed the base game, though if you didn't then I would perhaps hold off until the 2nd Wave releases since that seems to be the meatier of the two.

So yeah: I may have went a bit eShop crazy these past couple weeks XD

@gcunit
It is too early for an honest opinion. Only played with the controller for a few days, but I do not feel like I had less fun playing with the PowerA controller. Since I prefer playing wired, the longer cable compared to the original, is a plus. The PowerA controller definitely feels cheaper and kinda empty, because of the lesser weight, compared to the original, but not really in a bad way. Not sure how to describe it. The PowerA controller lacks gyro aim, vibration and propably the NFC reader. The only thing I really do not like about the PowerA controller is, that I can not turn the console on for some reason. I have to take the console for a moment out of the dock and put it back in, so the console is in standby mode, only then does the controller work.

If the durability of the PowerA controller is good, I would definitely not mind using it for simpler games, in which I do not need gyro aim and stuff.

@Jhena Fair enough. You'd already sold me on them anyway, so before I even read your latest post I'd ordered two of the same kind (different designs tho). Getting them more as display pieces than active controllers, but I'll probably get a few more to try out too.

Nice, for now my Donkey Kong controller is a display piece too. I hope you will enjoy them.
