My latest physical purpose was a number of items from Limited Run Games, including Haven, Super Meat Boy + Forever, Neon Abyss, and Monster Boy Collector's Edition.
My latest physical arrival was Kitaria Fables yesterday, which means I received the game a whole 9 days early apparently.
Aside from that, I made some digital purchases too, skimming through the Nintendo UK eShop listings I found that a number of games I purchased physically in the past were available for extremely cheap, so I indulged for the convenience and to support the devs.
@RupeeClock This post is why I have such a hard time buying physicals for some of these types of games - £65 for the physical collection or about £4 for them digitally. I do actually prefer having physical media for Switch but some of the prices of these Limited availability carts makes it hard to justify. Could likely buy a couple of them for the price of the shipping on the Super Rare cart.
That's a very good deal for that game. Not gonna lie, it has some great QoL improvements over Bravely Default. Honestly, I feel it's ever so slightly the better game.

@Magician I just received my copy of Shadowverse: Champion's Battle, and am very impressed with the physical package. I saw your comment about the manual, but I figured it was like an eight-page booklet maybe, not a whole traditional manual!

@Tyranexx I don't like some of the gameplay changes in BD2 based on the demo, but it's guaranteed to be better if it doesn't have a miserable mid-to-late-game section where you have to fight the same bosses over and over and over and over. That section almost tanked BD for me, which is a shame, because the endgame is actually really good.
Very cool. I look forward to your opinion of the game in the thread I created, should you decide to share it. It'll probably be a while before I get around to playing it myself so I'm genuinely curious. As you mentioned, I was simply blown away by the effort of the packaging and absence of a day-one patch. Most physical releases don't receive half as much love and respect.

@NintendoByNature I can't recall if you've played the first game. If not, that one is worth playing first IMO, though it isn't entirely mandatory. The game is enjoyable without it.
@Ralizah There were a couple of changes in the BD2 demo I wasn't fond of either, mainly how encounters worked; ironically, I usually prefer no random encounters, but manipulating the encounter slider in the previous games was a sheer joy and made grinding and loping off to heal way more manageable. They handled some of my complaints between the original rough demo and the final demo, but not all.
The second half of Bravely Default didn't bother me that much. I saw it as a great opportunity for some light grinding (and experimenting with the Black Mage/Arcanist combo, which was borderline broken in that game; probably why they didn't add the latter in BS:EL). Plus, there was actually some nuance to some of those later chapters if one poked around a bit. Particularly in chapter 6, if memor y serves. Overall, the second half is a valid complaint, but I didn't find it excruciating. Completely agree how great the endgame is, it highlights one of my favorite things about the series: breaking the fourth wall.
@NintendoByNature Unlike most of the mainline FF entries, the only one with a self-contained story right now is Bravely Default II (To my knowledge; haven't played this one yet). The other two are directly tied together with Bravely Second serving as a direct sequel. Plenty of new characters are introduced, though plenty of characters return too. I'd love to expand more, but it's very hard to get into a lot of the details without crossing into spoiler territory.
Again though, at the end of the day it's still a decent enough game where you don't need all the puzzle pieces from what happened previously to enjoy it. The game briefly touches on said past happenings as well. I will say...beware the addiction that is Chompcraft.

@Tyranexx sweet deal, super excited to dive in tomorrow( was supposed to come Saturday but thankfully got pushed up to tomorrow). Hoping it grabs me like FF7 and 9 did.
