Clocked 200 hours of total playtime today... in little over a month. I don't think I've ever been as addicted to a game as XC3.

@MarkL1987
Almost there, keep it up!

what are the best Healer classes for Mio and Eunie in Chapter 7?

I have Mio as a troubador while I have Eunie as a war medic in Chapter 7

Just beat Alexandria's Ascension quest, Monica's and Ghondor's.

I have to say. I loved Monica's and Ghondor's. Just excellent.

I have 5 Heroes left to do Ascension Quests for but only 2 of them do I have classes ranked to 10. And I'm not too interested in their characters so I may just finish the game now. I think I'm ready.

110 hrs in. Level 68. I think it's time.

@Ralizah
I looked it up. There's only so many Nopon locations in the game. But it was pretty easy with a guide.

Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced

@TheJGG I spent so much time in that place but I don’t remember even a single second of the track, haha. Though a lot of the music in this game doesn’t stick for me but it’s still quality music.

Believe me, I had a similar complaint about the music, especially at first. The way I saw it, the music was composed to suit the mood, and not necessarily to be catchy. But there's a lot of tracks that stuck with me; Everblight Plain, Keves and Agnian colony themes, Elaice Highway, Rae-Bel Tableland, Urayan Tunnels, Erythia Sea... and that's just the area themes. Pretty much every battle theme was good in some way. Keves was fun and bouncy, Agnus was intense and had an adrenaline, the boss themes were great, Moebius was just terrifying, and Z was just sheer hype.

There's stuff out there. And IMO listening to the music on its own made it even better. Hence why I'm making so many Xenoblade covers!

DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A GOOD LEVEL GRINDING SPOT TO FIGHT LEVEL 90sISH ENEMIES?

IM IN CHAPTER 7 AND ABOUT TO TAKE ON Z.

THE ONLY SPOT I KNOW OF IS THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER OF MIRKWOOD RIGHT WHERE THAT SECRET SUPER BOSS IS AT IN THE CAVERN.

@XandertheWise No need to use all caps for it, but remember where the city was located before chapter 6 had it move? It’s filled with level 88s there now, so that’s your best bet. At least that I know of.

I keep buying fighting games for some reason, even though I barely got anyone to play against.

@TheJGG It did strike me as perfect study music (well, not the battle themes of course) because of how it fades into the background but is still far more pleasant than just silence. I had multiple times where I had this ‘oh wait, dang, this track is pretty nice’ realisation so I’ll give the soundtrack a listen online sometime, yeah. The elite monster battle track was my favourite, where the others kind of lacked some zing to them. Xenoblade 2 is still king there for me. The moebius theme is a weird one in that regard: the track is a banger, immediately sets the mood, the issue is that the characters associated with it kept being less and less imposing to me because of how the plot develops that the track itself gave me these eyeroll moments instead of pulling me into the scene most of the time. I can’t remember any instance where plot influenced music for me like that, usually it’s the other way around, so that’s pretty nifty. The track by itself though, very good.

@TheJGG Oh, and Keves Castle’s battle theme is one that gave me chills the first time I heard it. Now that one made me tense. You got me giving all the battle themes a listen right now, haha.

The Forgotten Trick Gate area thats in the lower right corner of the Maktha Wildwood thats where there's level 90s ants/spiders to level grind on. Thats the only area i know of in the game.

I dont know where else to look anyway

@Mioaionios Ugh, I think I ran into that annoying ardun quest you had told me about a while ago. God, that's definitely the type of quest that feels like it requires the help of the internet lol. Thankfully I managed to find exactly what I needed to do but goodness I don't know how I would've finished it without looking it up lol.

Also I know you mentioned you did all the side quests in your first playthrough. When you did all of them were the colony affinities maxed out as a result? I've currently got 5 colony's maxed out but I've got a few that seem like they're stuck on 4 stars. I'm just curious if doing all the side quests alone will be enough to max out the colony affinities or if you've also got to send off enough husks, collectopedia cards, etc.

I've been trying to get the City to 5 stars for the second run speed boost. It's stuck on 4 stars but it's REALLY close to leveling up. The thing is I can't find anymore quests at all. I'm assuming this is a case where a quest from a different colony includes the city but otherwise I really have no idea 😅 (I've currently done 160 quests so I've still got a few more to do.)

Ah yes, the Armu farm. Glad you found the solution. Monolith should have included hints somewhere in the game or done an elimination style of approach with this quest.

About affinity. Yes, I did get 5 stars with every colony at the end and I'm pretty sure you need to complete Collectopeadia Cards and find most husks to do so. Didn't have too much problem doing so aside from a couple cards for which I needed to farm some materials.

Good luck!

There's a cave system off the south-east of cadensia's ocean area that has Lv90-100 mobs, and a Lv101 unique monster duo (who aren't considered superbosses, weirdly, despite being higher than the level cap). You can't interlink in there though, so be careful.

Regarding colony affinity, there's a few things that can be blocking it from hitting 5 stars and staying stubbonly locked at 4.99999:

  • Quests from other colonies that involve this colony too. In particular, Colony Iota has a bunch of stuff that gets affinity with other colonies
  • Husks somewhere in the world, especially mass graves
  • Duelling monsters sometimes reward affinity for a colony if you take their side
  • Completing collectopaedia cards
  • Talking to NPCs for the first time

I've completed everything* in the game at this point, I still had a few colonies at 4.99999 that I just pushed over the line by spamming a few previously completed collectopaedia cards (4-6 should top most of them off), but I'm fairly sure they could all also have been finished if I'd found the last few husks for each.

*Everything asides a few classes on Noah aren't Lv20 yet (the CP farming strat I was using only works when he's an attacker class), all the soulhacker upgrades, and the superboss level-up challenges Planning to get back to those when the DLCs start to hit

Rolled the credits over the weekend. What a sublime rpg.

Who knew Rex would become a Giga Chad? I didn't see that coming. What a pimp.
