Still on chapter 5. Most recently liberated Colony Mu and did whatever side quests popped up from doing so. Also mostly explored that desert island with all the quicksand (the one with the enemies in the low-mid 60's), though I couldn't find a way to access that castle ruin on the eastern side of it (probably some sort of out of the way path I missed).

My party is at level 68, & I have enough bonus EXP saved up to jump to level 78 if need be (still going to hold off for now given I'm still way above where I need to be story wise).

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

@RR529 Yeah you're gonna steamroll pretty much every single boss from now on. One thing I liked about Xenoblade 1 was that it used the entire level system; the final boss was around LV82 after all, so getting to postgame content wasn't too bad. Xenoblade 2's final boss was Lv70, and XCX's was Lv50 (level cap was Lv60). As for the level of Xenoblade 3's final boss? Lv75

@TheJGG It did strike me as perfect study music (well, not the battle themes of course) because of how it fades into the background but is still far more pleasant than just silence. I had multiple times where I had this ‘oh wait, dang, this track is pretty nice’ realisation so I’ll give the soundtrack a listen online sometime, yeah. The elite monster battle track was my favourite, where the others kind of lacked some zing to them. Xenoblade 2 is still king there for me. The moebius theme is a weird one in that regard: the track is a banger, immediately sets the mood, the issue is that the characters associated with it kept being less and less imposing to me because of how the plot develops that the track itself gave me these eyeroll moments instead of pulling me into the scene most of the time. I can’t remember any instance where plot influenced music for me like that, usually it’s the other way around, so that’s pretty nifty. The track by itself though, very good.

I'll say this; the battle themes I end up coming back to are Keves due to the sheer energy, Agnus due to the intensity, and Moebius because of the hype. Honestly I didn't quite click with the elite or unique monster themes, they felt like they were trying to imitate other songs from different games. 2's unique monster theme was alright because it was it's own thing instead of a rehash of You Will Know Our Names. Same thing applies to Gormott and Millick Meadows, they were bombastic early level plains themes just like Gaur Plain. Gormott in particular was written in the exact same way, almost like they changed the melody and added some new stuff but the framework is the same. That's kinda why 3's soundtrack stands out so much for me, it did it's own thing while keeping certain elements to keep that Xenoblade feel.

About the Moebius theme... 100% agree there, the fact that it plays for every single Consul out there means it gets old quite quickly. In that way you could argue that the Moebius Interlink theme is reserved for major story Moebius bosses but then you have the fact that the standard and Interlink themes are quite similar so... yeah. It's hilariously ironic though, that the most comedic genuine villains I've seen in a video game have this ridiculously overpowered theme.

Hi there, sorry if it's been asked before but anyone know a good spot to farm agnus levnis parts? Specifically any of the parts that ymeer guy takes for his quest? Can't seem to find any grouped up together, just a few in those fights you decide who to side with

@Judal27
Best place I've found is in the north-eastern part of the Pentelas Region. There's a long bridge where Kevesi and Agnian forces are battling it out. Unique Levnises for both sides as well.

@Judal27 I got one too, depends what level you are. In the Cadensia region after starting Chapter 6 across the bridge at the entrance to Agnus Castle is a Levnis workshop with Lv85 Agnian Levnises waiting to be taken out!

I'm someone who likes to compare themself with their favourite video game characters' personalities and traits. I thought I have plenty in common with Mio as a calm and caring person. But after I made a comment on a different thread earlier today, it makes me think I have more in common with Eunie instead. 😅
I guess I don't have a problem with calling out someone's bull...... 😁

My spirit party member... without a doubt it's Taion. Well meaning and really thoughtful but aloof and cynical sometimes, a bit dense too!

@Mioaionios ah thanks for the tip, will definitely check it out. A bit weird I can't remember a long bridge in that part of the region at all

@TheJGG yea it's too high a lvl for me atm 😅, but I appreciate the help anyway. If grinding out the parts now gets too tedious, I'll just get back to the quest later on and see if that place is faster

@Mioaionios Calm and caring but not afraid to call out someone’s bull sounds like quite the combination actually, haha. I thought Noah would be someone I relate with from the pre-game descriptions I read, but in the end it was far and away Taion. His little bursts of energy when he isn’t trying to keep up the composed exterior give me life.

I keep buying fighting games for some reason, even though I barely got anyone to play against.

So I heard cooking wasn't working properly this entire time? It seems like that's what the new update fixed.

Add me on switch if you like Xenoblade :)

@Judal27 No problem, I would have referenced the Pentelas bridge area too but I wanted to offer a different choice to keep options open! That bridge has enemy camps from both sides but they're around Lv50-ish, so keep that in mind. As for where it is, (spoilers for Chapter 4)go to where you fight Ethel and Cammuravi and you should see a ramp and a long bridge, as mentioned.

@Mioaionios Yeah, I just downloaded it on my switch. It seems like it was pretty small because it downloaded almost instantly.

Just finished the game after 112 hours. Some thoughts:

  • The mobius bosses in Origin slowly dying while I'm able to run around the environment was interesting. Previous boss deaths were always relegated to cutscenes.
  • Bolearis fixing his Ferronis by kicking it was such a random scene, but also pretty awesome. Definitely one of my favorite NPCs in the game.
  • Z's first phase is such a slog, holy crap. It's even worse if you die at any point during either of the phases, because the game boots you back to the beginning, and you have to do all of that over again. Also, why does Z turn into Andross in that last phase?
  • In general, everything during that climax was the most JRPG thing I've ever seen. I mean that in both a good and a bad way. It's fun and epic, but a little too metaphysical for my liking, and I had to roll my eyes every time the cast started randomly launching into soliloquies about the nature of life and growing up, lol.
  • The actual ending was pretty bittersweet, which I'm actually glad of. I was afraid they were going to pull a XC2 again at the last minute. That game's back half was amazing until the last, like, two minutes. If you've played it, you know why.
  • On that note, I now fully believe Rex is the ultimate life form, and he's the only being in all the Xenoverse apparently allowed a fully happy ending without an asterisk somewhere. So, based on that picture at the end, am I to believe that he not only came out the end of the second game with two girlfriends, but then also proceeded to impregnate Nia as well?!
  • The XC2 fanservice in this game is amazing. There was no reason for Poppi to show up again, but she did, and it was so nice to see her, even if only for a few seconds.

What a ride! I'll definitely be dipping back in from time to time to clean up side-quests and whatnot that I missed, but otherwise I'll be focused on Splatoon 3 in a couple of days when that releases.

Amazing game. Def. my favorite from Monolith Soft to date.

@TheJGG oh shoot now I remember what you guys are talking about I think. I had seen that but decided to leave it unexplored for now and completely forgot to check back. Will go check it out along with a bunch of other places I forgot to get back to lol. Thanks!
