The Nopon especially Riku in Xeno 3, theyre pretty much like the Moogles. Mysterious in person etc but they're stronger than they look physically.
Xenoblade 1, that one Nopon in Shulk's team is pretty strong.
I dunno what the Nopon are like in the Xenoblade X game for the Wii U, and I still havent fully experiencced Xenoblade 2 to see what the other Nopons are like in the game if there just strong physical attackers or that they use crazy magic or not
I just saw that we have some updated numbers for the previous Xenoblade games on the switch. As of December 2021 XC:DE is sitting at 1.68 million and XC2 is at 2.44 million. I really wonder what XC3 will end up doing.

So if you don't finish the Ethel chapter can you still finish it? I thought I didn't skip this but I did and now I have a left over mission that I can't finish?
The Nopon party members have mostly improved from game to game. I say "mostly" because Tatsu is easily the worst character in this entire series.
Giving Riku a deep, masculine voice works on multiple levels. It's a very funny joke initially if you know what these things tend to sound like. But once you realize how awesome and wise he is, it really starts to fit him like a glove. Riku feels like something of a father figure to the rest of the group, dispensing wisdom and hard truths when his words are needed.
@Balta666 I dunno. It does seem like XC3 had a bigger launch overall. And with a higher print run, I could see it squeezing out 3 million lifetime.
It deserves to sell far more. Absolutely fantastic game.
So I steamrolled another moebius after making some much needed adjustments to my parties classes, arts, and gems. Back on track now! But I would've thought chapter 4 would've been finished by now. I'm 35 hrs in and still on chapter 4. Sounds like I'll be going over the avg time on HLTB.
@NintendoByNature you're probably average around this group of people . I in general find the times on HLBT quite accurate but on this one can only be correct if you simple ignore sidequests...
At first, Riku threw me off with that deep voice. It even sounded kind of weird, especially with that hair. But now? He sounds exactly as he should. Definitely the wise mentor of the group. Nopon have gotten better. I've always liked their characters but the voice acting in XC1 and XCX for the Nopon was atrocious. XC2 was a weird case though. Torah had a phenomenal voice actor but all the others like Bana and the lot? It was downright embarrassing and utter cringe. Even worse than the voice work from XC1 and XC2. Thankfully, all the Nopon in XC3 sound have excellent voice overs.
I also think XC3 will crack 3 million. It saw a notably larger launch and, more importantly, is showing longer legs, than XC2 ever did. And, XC2 ran out of physical stock at MSRP, essentially capping sales to digital only. It won't happen overnight, but I fully expect XC3 to pass 2 million by its 1 year anniversary, and 3 million by the time we've fully transitioned to Switch2.

@JaxonH Haha, I actually really liked Chairman Bana's English voice acting. The idea seemed to be: "What if a Snidely Whiplash-type villain was a nopon?" And, keeping that in mind, the voice actor played the role to perfection. I particularly loved the way he aggressively rolled his Rs.
Tora can be annoying at times, but I don't see this as bad voice acting, because I actually think whoever played him nailed the character's mix of sincerity, almost obnoxious need for approval, and dangerous levels of teenage otaku cringe. So yeah, I agree, his voice work was also done well.
Riki, though... ugh. Not a terrible character, but the voice work itself is almost painful to listen to.

Bana wasn't the worst- that title goes to MuiMui. There's some voice acting so bad, if it were me, I'd resign the part just to save myself the embarrassment and keep it off my resume.
This gives me a kick (puts MuiMui voice lines over Xord lol). At least this is funny. Pairing the voice over a Nopon just sounds cringe though. They're not a bad voice actor (in fact, they're quite good actually), they just weren't the right pick for a Nopon.
