@Buizel We know nothing about the activation though given what we know about the story DLC contents I'd guess it would just be a title screen option straight after you've updated. Kind of like what happened for New Super Luigi U.
@JTMnM@Grumblevolcano I did mean the prequel DLC and thanks - I haven't been following closely enough to know if anything had been mentioned.
On that note - I'm generally very pleased with Nintendo's approach to DLC. Octo Expansion is great and I'm very hyped up for this. I'd love to see Odyssey get something as well.
I'm replaying the game on new game plus and I'm getting more and more excited for the Torna DLC. Are we going to learn why Addam decided to disappear? Why Lora was killed? Will we see Tantal before it was frozen? So many things they can do with the DLC. And we'll see Gramps in his teenage years (probably)!

@Alber-san I want to know why is Gramps so special that he can regenerate. How and why Mythra went berserk to sink the titans. I also want to know the story behind Addam 'sealing' the third sword/fearing the true Aegis' power. So many questions.
@finalstan
Yeah this game has so many mysteries that I hadn't realised before playing a second time. Now I only have to decide whether to buy the dlc physical or digital.

Got Shulk and Fiora to S+ and 100%ed Challenge Mode on both difficulties. All hail Love Sources for being so good for building trust!
Now to finish my "true" 100%, I need to max out my weapon Arts for all characters... again. Time to grind for more XP for Ultimate Weaponry packs, yay! Shouldn't take too long compared to the other NG+ Blades. By god, the NG+ Blades for some reason require such exorbitant amounts of WP to upgrade compared to every other weapon type... bah.
Anyways, time to wait until Bringer of Chaos difficulty. Hopefully that also applies to Challenge Mode as well, that would be so sick. Gonna be doing a third playthrough when that hits!
Just decided to get back into this to do all of the things that I missed before starting New Game +. Got T-elos from a common core crystal right away, but now I realise that I shouldn't have neglected the blade affinity charts...
Just your everday ninja, who may also be an ace trainer.
Some recent datamines revealed very interesting information. Of course, uncover at your own risk.
Hibana - Fire Bitball
20% Ether Mod
Increases dmg of party by 250 % when she hits a launched enemy
+50% dmg per potion picked up (max 500%)
+50% dmg to fusion combos
Kamuya - Light Chroma Katana
30% Agility Mod, yes 30% not a Typo
When he evades, gets 2.5 art recharge
When he evades, has a 25% to heal 15 % HP
When he evades, deals 350% counter ether dmg
Elma - Dark Twin Rings (might be just Twin Ring Animation)
20% Ether Mod
+125% dmg from back
the 2 others are unknown
She is free engage like Shulk and Fiora
Both Blade and Enemy Blade information found for her
This is what is in the datamine right now, might change upon release*
My note: Just to clarify, this is from the Xenoblade 2 Discord. Here's the GameFaqs thread about it. Anyway, this makes me optimistic we'll see a blade or two from Xenogears!
I managed to complete a fair amount of challenge mode but I think I'll leave the rest for NG+. I think some of those harder challenges may be expecting stuff like maxed out NG+ charts for drivers and other stuff only possible in NG+.
Still, it was a nice E3 surprise releasing so early into summer and I'll be back to XC2 when the next update hits.
Ok one thing that still bugs me about Xenoblade is navigation. The radar simply sucks as a waypoint system with the terrain, and you can spend rediculous time trying to get where your'e going just because you missed that one pathway between the wall of stone and your destination that didn't lead to Lv90 monsters. Sucked in the first game, and still sucks now
That and side-quests are almost all worthless "fetch 10 of these totally random things with no direction on where to find them" Most of them, I skip.
@NEStalgia There's much less fetchquesty sidequests than in 1 and X tbh. Barely any of them require collectables compared to the other ones. And what about sidequests not giving you direction? They have waypoints for specific key items and the items that are not marked are fairly easy to deduce where to get them as they also give the area and the name pretty much helps narrow down which spots you should gather from.

Tbh I don't care if it's fetchquest or not as long as it gives me more info on the world, character, plot. Pretty much any information and I'm all over it.
Now if it's a side quest that's only giving me thank you for the help, while it's nice... it's a little annoying :v
@EvilLucario I don't know I have a ton of collectibles quests stacked up, all of them requiring food items and such (heck I'm still missing 2 ingredients for upgrading the merc guild to lv2. No direction on where I may find some of the usable ingredients.)
Waypoints in the game (the whole series) just kind of suck. It's only up on the radar with the up/down arrow and doesn't always provide adequate direction when terrain seems to block all routes from point A to point B. I end up doing a lot of trial and error, watching the radar the whole time. If you have the map area it's located in exposed it's on the map/fast travel, but otherwise you get a general "thataway" even if you can't find a way down from the cliff or up over the cliff to get to it. Games with a "bead" type nav marker don't just mark the compass for the end point but mark a kind of "next point of transition from current point" toward the trail or such to start on."
Ok, aeshmas core. I give up. 3 hours of throwing myself at it and it get nowhere. I'm 5 levels above it, i get him to 15 percent health or so and he wipes my team every time. I have no idea what to do with it. It's the second round with it. Every time it's around 15% that i just can't heal and revive faster than he damages.
@NEStalgia That boss is more of a wake-up call in that you need to learn how Chain Attacks work. Once you complete two different Blade Combos, activate the Chain Attack and you'll power through over half of the boss's HP if you break both orbs.
If you're brute-forcing it without Chain Attacks, it's not going to go over so well.

@NEStalgia Reduce the core's HP to just above the point where it starts wrecking your team (50 or 40% HP left, I think) while also slapping it with various element orbs. Then chain attack it, burst the orbs, and you'll tear through its most dangerous phase in a few moments.
