@JaxonH That's good to hear about FAST's DLC being better than the main game.I never got round to buying it yet as it was released when I was back home visiting.When I saw it was coming to Switch I thought I'll just wait instead.I think there's 30 tracks in RMX so that's 6 new tracks on top of the 8 DLC I've never played.It'll feel like a sequel to me,especially with the new tracks being even better than the ones I played.I thought NEO only really had a handful of great tracks with the one standout being Chuoku City.Funnily enough,it was the most F-Zero inspired track.
Has Been Heroes I need to watch more of.From the little I've seen it looks very similar to Swords and Soldiers which I only kind of half enjoyed.I loved the original on Wii at the time but struggled to get into the sequel even though it was clearly better.If it reviews well i'll give it a go.
Puyo Puyo Tetris excites me greatly haha.I love these kind of games.Dr Mario and Dr Luigi have been 2 of my most played games the last 2 gens.Tetris Online on Wii would have been up there too but the online modes were not reliable which put me off.This new one looks like a meaty package and with it coming out early in the Switch's life,hopefully sell well and retain a decent amount of players online.
@IceClimbers Yeah I was saying that before,I've not seen anything on NL about them yet.Looking at the support the other consoles have had with these Arcade Archives releases,if the Switch gets anywhere near the same then it's a pretty big addition to the VC that we never had before.Not sure if they'll be classed as VC releases or E-shop releases under the banner Arcade Archives.Either way,I can't wait.
Do they have online multiplayer or Steam?i think on consoles it's only leaderboards they have.
@OorWullie
It's similar in art style but far different in gameplay.
It's kind of like a rogue like. If you die you lose everything and start again, but as powerful as you were when you died (I think, that's how rogue likes work so). You have lanes, 4 of them I think, and each enemy has a level of shield, either one, two or three stars, and you have to first hit them exactly as many times as their shield level to open them up to attack, then come in with another dude and start wailing damage on them. The idea is to knock the enemies back and keep them from overtaking your heroes. You're constantly moving forward to the right, so you're under pressure to Switch your guys around through the lanes and attack the enemies to keep knocking them back as you advance, of course with some finely tuned gameplay mechanics tossed in and interesting mechanics like eliminating their Shield before doing damage.

@OorWullie The Steam version of Metal Slug 3 has online co-op at least. KoF98 is an updated version of the game that has online. Switch seems to be getting the original version of the game, so I rather doubt it has online beyond leaderboards.
@JaxonH Cheers,I'm certainly more interested than I was before anyway.I look forward to seeing how it reviews.
@IceClimbers That's a shame if so.I was hoping with NES and SNES games getting added online play we might see a trend of other classics getting the same treatment.For the free monthly game for subscribers,there's only so many games they could add online play to from the NES and SNES era without scraping the barrel as the months go by,first party games at least.By the 2nd year NES online titles being added will be the likes of NES Ice Hockey and everyone's favourite Urban Champion.It's hard to justify paying a subscription for those.I'm hoping this means we're going to see 64 and GC classics with online too.To have games like GC Mario Golf and Tennis,Double Dash,Waverace 64 with online play is a really exciting thought.Hopefully we don't have much longer to find out what they're plans are for VC.
The closer we get to launch, the more disappointing it becomes that there is no sports game at launch.
I can't even remember a system launching without a sports game. 3ds had madden, vita had fifa, and MLB, Xbone, 360 and PS4, ps3, ps2 all have madden.Wii, Wii U, and Gamecube all had sport games.
Extremely disappointing.
The biggest issue here is that this is not the time for sports game, and i feel like it is counterproductive to release a FIFA or a NBA in this moment. It's better to wait for the August/September time. They are confirmed, it's not that they are not coming
Pitiful but expected numbers on the Wii U front but at least they got their estimates pretty spot on.They predicted last year they'd sell 800,00 Wii U's in the financial year,they need to only shift 40,000 more in the next 3 months.With Zelda coming soon it will surely pass 800k.
@MumboJumbo
No bundled software at all is still a bit rough I think. Sure when you're paying that much and are fanatical enough to get it on day 1? You're getting some games. At the very least you'll grab some eShop credit and download some random $10 game that you'll have forgotten about by the time the system is a couple of years old. But still, no games? ....
I can just see someone getting a Switch as a present or something. Opening it up and being all hyped and then... excitedly browsing the settings menu... great first impressions... like that Christmas everyone had as a kid when Mum forgot to buy the batteries....
@skywake@rallydefault Give it a couple of months and we will see official Switch bundles from Nintendo. But be warned, the first will likely be Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which really isn't worth getting excited about.

It's really a shame that the Switch isn't coming with any software at all at launch, but there'll obviously be bundles later on. I'm personally hoping there's one with ARMS or MK8D or whatever by the time I pick up a Switch (possibly around my birthday).
A Super Mario Odyssey bundle or a "Pokemon Stars" one during the holiday season makes so much sense.
I thought they might include that fish demo that was supposedly the greatest demo that guy from Bethesda had ever seen.I wonder if there'll be even any apps there for launch,we know there'll be the E-shop, Mii Maker,parental settings and surely an internet browser and Youtube app.That can't be it though surely.
They would have sold even more if they just did a Zelda bundle. Slap a triforce on the dock or joy con and people would have gone even more crazy. But like the 3ds I suspect they're saving that for the holidays
@Octane Yep,that sounds likely.The 1-2 Switch bundle will probably keep the $299 launch price with the Mario bundle coming in $20 more.of course,some early buyers will be up in Arms about this but Nintendo can kind of justify it by giving us free online for a few months.By the time the bundles come out the subscription will be in place.
@Operative2-0 I understand the argument, but why? There's only 2 million Switch units available for launch, and most of the buyers are getting Zelda anyway. A bundle wouldn't really make any sense business wise; Selling Zelda separately also means that they can profit of both items instead of one.
