@SLIGEACH_EIRE Why does how much you "contribute" to this site matter? And it is more important to support your facts and opinions with evidence than being rude over differing opinions.

Calm down. Contributing more or less doesn't make your opinion more or less valid than the others. Its just a freaking opinion. Honestly, your answer sounded more like an ad-hominen than you trying to debate, and while I'm usually not in agreement with you, you tend to bring up interesting points.
So try to not take a different opinion personally.
On the other topic being discussed now, I'm more excited for Lego Undercover coming to the Switch. Never picked it up on the Wii U, and from what I've heard, it's a good game held back by terrible loading times. I hope they fix that issue this time.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE
... really? So out of everything I just said, and after half heartedly attempting to defend yourself against my claim that you are only attacking people and being belligerent, the only thing you can do is make another personal attack and act belligerently?
...
(P.S. - I did actually read those articles. I've been reading all of Forbes' stuff on the Switch, they've done a few articles at this point. But hey, I guess "under an hour" is not enough time to read an article in your mind?)
@BiasedSonyFan Well, the Switch gets Steep and Skyrim... What about Japanese AAA games though? Final Fantasy? Resident Evil? The issue isn't third party games in general, there are indie games coming to the Switch, great! But none of them are system sellers. I don't care where the games are made, but popular games attract more customers, and a larger install base is always good for any console. Anyway, don't mind the ''old'' ports, it's neat if the Switch got them, especially games like Overwatch or GTA V (they shipped 70 million copies in November 2016!). However, I think the most interesting part will be to see how many of the upcoming multiplat games the Switch will be getting. We already know that Ghost Recon, Mass Effect and RDR2 won't be coming to the Switch, but there are still plenty of other games to be announced.
If HD rumble is really as good and immersive as Nintendo says it is, there really needs to be a horror game early on in the Switch era. While horror games really aren't for me, I think that genre would benefit the most from HD rumble. While Capcom said no for RE7, there's still alternatives. Nintendo are still holding onto the Eternal Darkness IP for example.
@Luna_110 That's true. I accept I was wrong to say my opinion is more valid because I post more. But what was posted was nonsense. I have to back up everything I say. Google people! I especially don't feel like finding the quotes when people haven't exactly been nice. I remember what was said back then. By Reggie, specifically. I liked him when he first came on the scene. Now, I despise him.
@Grumblevolcano assuming they find a work around for the lack of analog triggers, a GameCube vc where the games are "enhanced" with HD rumble would be a great selling point
Your first comment on this said people were claiming it was just a huge jump in the number of Wii U users. Therefore people are wrong when they attribute server stress to something. Therefore the Japanese Switch website going down probably has nothing to do with demand for the Switch. That was your logic.
What I said was that people weren't attributing that Christmas 2013 server outage to just the Wii U. They were pointing to Wii U and 3DS being setup for Christmas and then soon after Pokemon Bank. All three contributed to the outage and people correctly pointed them out. Basically what I'm saying is that if you want an example of people getting it wrong? That probably wasn't the best one.
@Whitewatermoose I assume digital triggers is cheaper than analogue. Simple. The problem is that it can create problems down the road, especially with GC VC should they implement it.

@Whitewatermoose@FragRed Maybe the triggers are hard to make analogue in the small form factor of the Joy-Con? The old PlayStation 2 controller had every button analogue though, so I guess the mechanism wouldn't take too much space though?
I'm pretty disappointed they chose to use a simpler technology. It will obviously limit the control possibilities.
@Moshugan
That's fair, lack of analog will limit future possibilities. Of course they've more than compensated by adding the HD rumble and advanced motion, both of which will expand future possibilities far more than lack of analog will ever detract (imo). Games like Arms using advanced motion and DQ Heroes using HD Rumble to differentiate between slicing soft slimes and tougher enemies, to the point you can actually tell if you hit a metal slime in a crowd, show that developers actually will use these controllers to expand the types of experiences offered, experiences which just wouldn't be possible elsewhere.
That said, I can't think of any games Switch would get that would really use the analogs, and if it did I'm sure they could figure out something else... some workaround. I buy a lot of games for pretty much every console that exists (roughly 75 retail games per year total among all the platforms?) and I can't think of a single one I've ever purchased the used them aside from DriveClub VR and Forza Horizon 3. So I think the impact of not having analog is pretty slim?
Of course there were a small handful of GC games which used them, but there are solutions to that. The biggest being, using the GC controller adapter. Simply plug it in and use original GameCube controllers. That or just don't release the games that used it, of course several of them could probably still work fine with digital buttons. So they might could just skip those one or two games and release everything else. Either way there are solutions.

Nah, my point was people read into things to believe whatever they want, speaking of which...go back and the article and comments again.
I wouldn't be completely surprised that if Gamecube ends up on the Switch's VC that we see a solution like this. And it could help other new games too.
I strongly believe that Nintendo still has few more surprises about the Switch. The only thing they would surprise me is that if they don't make a direct next month for the Switch.
Making promise is easy. The hard part is keeping it.
