@WebHead Well, thats fair. Everyone will react differently. Due to my situation I understanf how it works but could suck for everyone else. As @KirbyTheVampire its all hypothetical. However I advise avoiding the conclusion jumping. Best yo be wary yet wait for more.

True. I just feel that Nintendo have already told us all that they want us to know at this point. I expect more details after launch from them. Third parties may well issue statements and info about their software, but I'll be surprised if there is one Direct, let alone more. I really hope I'm wrong though
The next few weeks will I feel be interesting for any new third party games that get announced, regarding as to whether they come to the Switch or not. That to me will be telling sign of how supported this system will be early on.
For example today Codemasters announced and revealed a trailer for a brand new Micro Machines game which in my opinion is the perfect fit for the Nintendo Switch. Yet it's not coming to the system, or at least not yet. And Codemasters are supposed to be one of the so called partners so it is telling that some are clearly not that interested in supporting the system, even though this is merely a download title which personally I'd have thought be more the reason to get it ported.

@Whitewatermoose That's an interesting point. Though I do feel it's not so serious an issue that it would prevent outright a port, especially if it's true how easy the Switch is to port over games. I'm sure they could work around digital triggers. And the more systems it's on, the bigger the potential audience.

There's E3 too, though. That's basically gonna be the day of reckoning for the Switch IMO.
@BLP_Software ''not everyone has a headset'', not everyone has a smartphone either
Now, after the paid online service was announced, I can say that I probably won't care about online play on the Switch. But if this is true, I can understand where the frustration is coming from. Like Operative2-0 said, the app is nice and it's a great idea, but disabling voice chat through the Switch itself is creating an unnecessary problem that shouldn't be there. They're asking us to pay for their online servers, but I still have to use my own data to use the voice chat. It's all a bit cumbersome in my opinion. An ideal solution would be to offer both, and I'm hoping that is the case. Let us choose, I don't like it when companies tell me how to enjoy my games; Like when Sony forces the Vita users to buy expensive proprietary memory cards, or if it's true, in case how Nintendo wants you to use your phone.
This entire argument also sheds light on another issue, once again. We still have no idea how the ins and outs of the Switch are going to work. I expected this to be cleared up last week, because it was just seven weeks before launch. We could really use a press release or something that details all the specifics. Anyhow, it looks like the Nintendo's Japanese site doesn't mention VC through the Switch itself either, so I'm not holding my breath for that to become a real option.
@Whitewatermoose Can't blame Stardew Valley for not being there at launch. The dev is just one guy, and I assume that porting the game will take some time. Don't know if he ever got a dev kit or not..
@Whitewatermoose Colin and the rest of the Kinda Funny crew are serious Sony fanboys so I really have little interest in what they have to say. though yes Nintendo have made some stupid choices.

I mean, it doesn't affect me personally, considering I have devices capable of 4k. But it is surprising that something that's as much of a staple as Netflix won't be there at launch. Is this thing even gonna have much of an OS at launch?
@Operative2-0 Well the Wii U's OS was pretty basic at launch and then had significant OS improvements over the launch window. Maybe we'll be seeing the same with Switch?
