Gamepass doesn't work on Deck unless you install windows but I do have it on my Xbox. I just don't use it.
But I bought HifiRush on Deck. I just haven't tried it 😞
So I'm not so much holding out, I've just got other games I'm playing. If it does come to Switch 1/2 though I'd immediately give it a whirl. If it's as good as you say I may try it out on Deck soon though just to see. Now that my Prince of Persia playthrough is done.
Splatoon 3 has me in it's grips tho. The single player is excellent. Love how sardiniums aren't in the stages anymore. They're hidden in the overworld, and used in the upgrade tree. It's super addictive.
At launch Splatoon 3 had some connection issues but that seems to be all taken care of now. The Salmon Run and single player and the upcoming Side Order are gonna provide hundreds of hours content. And of course. Gonna hop in some Turf Wars after I finish the single player and Side Order and get some killer 4 slot gear from Salmon Run and ordering from Splatnet 3.0

I played hundreds of hours of Salmon Run last year, it’s crazy how that one single mode got its hooks in me. Had to stop playing this year to fit in other games 😬, though I might go back for Side Order when it releases, and I never did that secret kettle in single player mode
@Wolfleaf
When Splatoon gets its crab claws in you, it doesn't let go.
I was so hooked on Splatoon 1 on Wii U but eventually fell off when hackers and cheaters overran the lobbies. When Splatoon 2 hit, it was my entire life for months yet again. But eventually I moved on, though I did have a 2nd resurgence when I got my bro into it.
Splatoon 3 came and went but I never got sucked in like the prior games. Mostly because of connection issues. But now I play and it's perfect. There's like, 23 stages for Turf War? And 6 Salmon Run stages, I think? I could be off but it's something close to that. And Salmon Run now has Eggstra Work and these boss Salmonid, and the single player is straight 🔥 even better than Splatoon 2 campaign or Octo Expansion. And Turf Wars is better than ever.
It's just a magnificent game. But when you're not into it you never think about it. You just breeze past the game icon 5 times a day and it doesn't even register. But fire it up and play for even half an hour, and suddenly it's like, "this game is INSANELY good, I can't stop!"

@JaxonH All righty, I'll give that game a shot when I get a chance. Thanks! I have Ori and the Blind Forest on Steam, as well... I haven't played much of it so I should sometime. That would definitely be cool to see remasters of the other two Prime games... though I wonder if they're working on remastering MP2 and 3, or if they're still working on 4?

I'm pretty sure they could do both. After all, Prime 4 was mid-development when they made Prime Remastered.
Oftentimes in development one person's duties are only required for a certain time period, and can transition to another game before and/or after their specific job is done. Given they're just remasters, it would take a much smaller crew far less manhours, and I imagine the final year of Prime 4 development, many devs won't have anything left to do as the game enters QA testing and polishing. Could knock out Prime 2/3 in 6-9 months, even starting last summer could have them out sometime this spring.
I'm pretty sure Prime 4 is either already done, or in that final span of testing. Nintendo is likely holding it for a Switch 2 launch title, though I imagine it'll also release on Switch, perhaps at 30fps which will be a nice incentive to play on Switch 2. They barely got Prime Remastered running at 60fps on Switch so I'm thinking Prime 4 is for sure a 30fps Switch title. They've probably been working on both versions for years, and thus let Switch 2 drive its scope and graphical fidelity. Which means it's gonna be a real showpiece for the new system. I'm sure it'll be a showpiece on Switch as well, but with cutbacks like 30fps and maybe 900p docked, etc.

Dang guys, sports games on Switch dried up and prices are starting to rise.
Since EA switched to full Frostbyte on Switch with FC24, all prior versions of FIFA are delisted digitally due to the FIFA license. Mind you, FC24 is a MASSIVE improvement in animations and how realistic and smooth they are. It just looks and plays better, and has no missing modes or content- it's at full parity now. But with that came a drop from 60fps to 30fps. The frame timing is flawless though so it still plays smooth as butter, but if someone were more inclined toward a slightly more arcadey feel, FIFA 23 would be the game to buy as it was the last one built for Switch in 60fps, and movement feels less realistic and more jerky, like an arcade game.
I bought FC24 because it was on sale, and I had bought FIFA 18 during the launch year cause I like soccer games even though I'm not a sports guy. But I thought hey, I should get FIFA 23 also to have a more arcady 60fps version also. But alas, all prior FIFAs are delisted digitally. This is where having a modchipped OLED will come in handy.
I then researched the other sports games. The Show 23 saw a new storylines mode added that takes you through the history of the Negro Leagues which is rad. So I want that now also. I bought The Show 22 but now I want 23 when it goes on sale. And 24 releasing in March also has a storylines mode, though I'm not sure what it focuses on this time.
NBA 2k seems to be same as always for Switch.
I went to eBay and bought every FIFA, NBA 2K and The Show physically that I didn't own, just for the collection. I think FIFA 23 in particular, on Switch, may prove a collector item down the line. It's the last FIFA from EA, as 24 brought the FC24 name. It's the last 60fps FIFA on Switch, and it had the lowest demand as the legacy versions kept updating rosters ever since 18 or 19 or 20 or whenever. It's already sold out on Amazon, with prices $60-80 new.
Switch 2 is gonna usher in a golden era for portable sports titles. We're gonna get 60fps across the board for FC25, NBA 2K25, The Show 25, and I imagine EA will bring Madden and hockey.
Far removed from the days of FIFA on Vita and 3DS.

@JaxonH Retro Studios would never do a game at 30fps, all the game they develop run at 60fps, MP4 will be 60fps 900p on Switch and 4K 60fps on Switch sucessor(with the Switch sucessor version, having far better lighting, textures and resolution for the Switch version)
Thank the stars... I was playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons after transferring my user data and island to my Switch OLED, and my play time is actually correct! Hooray! I feel so much better now. I made sure that my island backup is enabled too, which it already is.
So, here's a lesson from me. If you're getting a new Switch, transfer your user data instead of having your Nintendo account on multiple consoles. Otherwise, your play activity might be out of whack like mine was, and having your Nintendo account on multiple Switches might make things more cumbersome. I did the latter because I thought it would transfer every downloaded game (which would've been impossible because I didn't have a microSD card yet), but it actually doesn't. It only transfers your user data, save data, and play activity - you'd still need to redownload your games that you got from the eShop. Guess I'm all done with my 2017 Switch... so I'm thinking of formatting it. It was very, very well-loved, lol.
@JaxonH Yeah I could see Prime 4 being a launch title for the Switch 2. We've seen this kind of thing happen before in Nintendo's past console generations, too. Twilight Princess was originally announced for the GameCube, and it got released for both that and the Wii. Similarly, Super Paper Mario was originally gonna be for the GameCube, but it never came out for that - just the Wii. It sounds like Prime 4's more than halfway through development now, good to hear they're not giving up on that.

@Giancarlothomaz
What on earth makes you think "they would never"?
DKC Returns on 3DS was 30fps. Was it not? I agree "they would never" provided the hardware is capable of doing 60. If it's possible, they'll always provide it. But when it's not possible, they don't get a say in the matter.
Just because they typically shoot for 60 doesn't mean there's some magical universal rule that prohibits them from doing so.
Metroid Prime Remastered was barely able to pull 60fps as a GameCube remaster (evidenced by technical analysis explaining why certain effects were used due to framerate) I seriously doubt a current game built with far more complex geometry, better textures, lighting, shadows, more enemies on screen, bigger world and areas in memory, more complex environments, etc, is somehow going to pull 900p 60fps out of thin air. The Switch 2 version may indeed hit 4k, but if it does it'll only be because of DLSS upscaling the native 1080p image.
I mean, weirder things have happened. I won't say it's impossible. But it's definitely more likely than not the Switch 1 version will have its framerate capped. This won't be a 2D game like Metroid Dread, and even that had some frame drops from time to time. You think a fully blown 3D Metroid would handle the exact same performance or better as the 2D game? I think not.
So yes, they will certainly release 60fps... for the main version, the Switch 2 release. Switch will be an afterthought, a bone tossed to the 100k ppl who aren't early adopters and won't be playing on Switch 2, probably the same people who played Breath of the Wild on Wii U. Not to say it won't have care put into it. It was the base platform originally developed for after all.
The one way I could see Switch hitting 60fps is if they kept it as target platform instead of Switch 2, and pulled out every trick in the book, on top of hampering the scope of the game to accommodate Switch. I hope that's not the case. I don't want the Switch 2 version to just be a Switch game at higher res. I want the game developed for Switch 2 and its capabilities, and just let Switch 1 take some performance cuts to allow the game to exceed what Switch would normally provide.
But... even if that proves to be the case, I'm still gonna play the heck out of Metroid Prime 4. It's just a very special game for me. And it's been nearly 15 years since the last entry. So I want this to be all it can be. Either way though, I think it's gonna impress, and be a heck of a lot of fun.

I'm not expecting anything Switch 2. Not expecting Metroid Prime 4 which I think will be revealed as a Switch 2 launch title.
But, I do hope we see Metroid Prime 2 Remastered and a release date for Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door!

A few more hours and we'll hear if there is one on Wednesday. That's the current best guess. Plus it has been that exact Wednesday the last 2 years.
Switch at 140 million sold (139.6 or something). Only 15m from the all time record.

Yes, let us look as the numbers. 13.74m Switches sold from April to December, short of the 15.5m Nintendo projected, but we still don't know what the numbers from January to March will be.
