It's likely that MvC Infinite would be announced in January at the Switch Event.
I wonder how many games will be shown at that particular event, though... because they need to show tons of software (and the majority of them shouldn't be remasters or remakes). Nintendo should dedicate a whole section to third parties during the event. Like, third parties ONLY.
@Vee_Flames Not just a section, mix them up. I'm hoping for a good 60-90 minutes of trailers and whatnot. Little talking and loads of gameplay and trailers. One can hope, right?

Yeah, a mix of first party and third party games done right would be amazing. It would keep the suspense and, again, if done right, would be like as if Nintendo went into our dreams.
I'm hoping for a long event, more than 1 hour long. Maybe even longer than that, like 3 hours or so (with intermissions in between, obviously). Spend some time talking about the features of the Switch (not specs, though), and then roll out the software that we will get to play (or not, because the 8th Generation saw many anticipated games that came on time, amirite?) in the first couple of years.
Nintendo has the right momentum right now. They can continue to keep the momentum if they play their cards right!
@IceClimbers Doesn't mean it'll happen. Given today and where the hype currently is, and Capcom only "Looking" at ports, saying it'll happen isn't really...accurate. UE4 maybe. Money, maybe not.

THQ Nordic is developing two projects for Switch. That’s according to the company’s Business & Product Development Director, Reinhard Pollice, who we recently had the chance to interview.
After Nintendo released the announcement video for Switch, an image was published showing that several companies are on board. Of course, THQ Nordic was included. Now we can say that the publisher is planning multiple games for the upcoming platform.
THQ Nordic owns the rights to a stable of franchises. Darksiders, de Blob, Deadly Creatures, Legend of Kay, and Destroy All Humans! are just a few of the IPs in the company’s possession.
Our full interview with Pollice will be added to the site soon.
Nintendo leads with Mario and Zelda, their 2 top franchises. Launch with 3D Mario and that crossover RPG, with Zelda to follow shortly after in the launch window. First day of e3 sounds about right. That way they can take advantage and plaster the walls and booths of e3 with Zelda again for advertising. Mario sells a few million consoles at launch, and Zelda picks up the momentum in June as soon as the sharp decline hits. They don't announce too many first party titles out the gate- they keep their cards held relatively close to their chest and lean on their top 2 IP to net the fish through the launch window. A few 3rd party games are shown, some are announced, but nothing extravagant. There will be a few big hitters for sure, but no big long list of games.
I also expect 3rd party exclusives to be revealed. A new Monster Hunter for Switch. A new Platinum Games title (Bayonetta 3 maybe?), Beyond Good & Evil 2, the new Sonic, and a half dozen other 3rd party projects. I don't think Switch will get that many AAA multiplats tbh- not at first anyways. But I do think it will have a fair share of third-party games- they just won't be the mass-market megabudget ones. All the 3DS developers, particularly Altus, will be jumping in. Once it starts selling (and it will sell- 3DS owners have nowhere else to turn but Switch... same for Wii U owners. That's at least 70 million gamers looking for their next Nintendo fix- all of which Nintendo is funneling into the Switch- add to that a small portion of Sony/PS gamers who will be jumping in courtesy of the $249 launch price and hybrid form factor).
Come 2018, sales are on course to surpass Wii U by the end of the year. And thanks to the faster adoption rate developers start porting over some of their multiplats. By 2019 Switch is getting a fair few AAA releases and the momentum accelerates to that of a normal, healthy console.
Nintendo has successfully recussitated their home console business... but it comes at the expense of their handheld market.

@JaxonH After watching Sony's PlayStation Experience conference last night, I think Nintendo needs to come out the gates with a bucket load of announcements and really go in full on. This is no time for keeping cards close to their chest or relying on your 2 biggest IPs to sell your systems at launch. Sony has revealed a huge amount of games, a few of which are aiming straight for that nostalgic feel - Crash Bandicoot remakes, Wipeout, Parappa The Rapper, Patapon and another game I forget the name of.
Also Microsoft are going to do a big E3 conference to hype people up for the Xbox Scorpio which I see being launched kinda like a new console but without the different name and all games being playable on current Xbox One systems.
Nintendo needs the Switch to sell in the millions day one and keep that momentum going.

@FragRed Agreed, Nintendo's once again in the danger zone. If there's not enough announcements in January, the other 2 consoles will make Switch irrelevant just like XB1/PS4 did for Wii U.

Man I love this drama. No one does is better than Nintendo fans it seems. It's either going to be selling gangbusters millions upon millions day 1 or it will be irrelevant the moment it is shown off to the public for the first time.
You know, because stuff just can't, oh I dunno, exist. Do well. Adequately. Meet reasonable expectations. Be an entertainment product that makes people happy.
Those things can't happen because Nintendo and Nintendo fans.
Well in that case strap yourselves in because we're getting close. Little over a month now.
@FragRed Well, Sony's line-up is looking pretty good for 2017. I'm sure something will be delayed to early 2018, either GOW, Spiderman or Days Gone, but it's still looking good. A new Uncharted game, Gravity Rush 2, Ni-Oh, Ace Combat 7, Persona 5, NieR, all those other Japanese games I don't know anything about, GT Sport, Detroit, two Yakuza games, that golf game, Knack 2, and that's not even all the retail exclusives! I wonder what Ninty's been cooking up in the meantime.
Entirely anecdotal but, with the Switch? I don't think I've seen this much hype for a Nintendo product since the Wii. No question the Wii was a much bigger deal. But the hype for this is well ahead of the 3DS and Wii U. Anecdotally. Specifically with the Wii U I remember deep scepticism and serious apathy about it before launch. Both from the gaming media in general, online chatter and just random people IRL. I haven't seen it with the Switch outside of places like this.
I think Pokemon Go and the reputation the Wii U got in terms of quality content has a lot to do with it. Pokemon Go got a broad audience interested in the idea of Nintendo again. That's one part of the equation. But the Wii U had a lot of games which were seen as great but ignored because of the Wii U's reputation. I overheard a conversation around a Wii U kiosk at a shop the other day. When Zelda:BotW was on the screen some guy said to his friend "that game looks awesome but I hate the Wii U". That's the sentiment. The Switch is sentiment reset.
Some people in places like this are applying Wii U thinking to the Switch. I think it's an entirely different product. So, yeah, I'm a lot more optimistic. I think it could very easily be a product that gives Sony and Microsoft something to think about. It could potentially be quite a bit more than that.
