@Grumblevolcano Ooh, cheers for the tipoff! It's probably going to be a fair bit before I can get around to playing AC: Recollection since it comes out literally 3 days before Apollo Justice but this'll be a nice way to tide me over until then XD

I finished Pikmin 2 so now I've played through Pikmin 1-4 and I'd rank it:

Pikmin 4 > Pikmin 3 > Pikmin 2 > Pikmin 1

I prefer the gameplay style of Pikmin 2 and 4 over 1 and 3 but Pikmin 3 and 4 have much needed quality of improvements and difficulty balancing such that I like Pikmin 3 more than Pikmin 2.

@Grumblevolcano Seems like the series is getting strictly better then! I really want Pikmin 4 but I haven't actually beaten 3 yet so I need to get back to it first. I definitely also prefer the 4/2 gameplay.

Hey y'all, I've been trying to see my Nintendo year in review... and it says I haven't play enough. I know I've played at least 50 hours of TOTK, so... what gives? Is there an over 100-hour limit or something like that? Do you guys know some way I can check?

@ok1 I saw one the other day that was 48 hours total. Any chance you have data sharing/tracking turned off in your Switch account? I heard there is some privacy setting which makes the year in review blank.

And I assume you are logged in on the web to the same Switch account you play on?

@FishyS Yeah, that was turned off! I turned it back on and it still isn't showing though. And yeah, I do play on only the account I am logged into. I'll wait a little longer, but maybe I'll have to wait until next year.

@ok1 If it was off and you've only recently turned it back on then they won't have collected any of your play data from the period it was off.

Turns out Indigo Disk wasn't the end of Scarlet/Violet, there's an epilogue to the DLC coming on January 11th.

With FrostyFest being a week later than usual, Pokemon DLC/Batman/DQ Monsters having worse performance problems than expected and Another Code's release date being January 19th now seems to be the perfect time for me to start TotK.

I'm honestly not sure what to start on switch for Christmas break( I'm off after today until Jan 2). I have SMT V, No More Heros 3, Trinity Trigger, and MGS 2 and 3 in my backlog. There's also a boatload of sales going on. I did just start Steamworld Dig 2 last night but not sure what to think of it just yet. I didn't like the first game all that much.

Probably should've asked this a few days ago but better late than never I suppose; how long should I wait before doing some eShop purchases post-Christmas Day? I meant to grab a few titles from this current sale like Signalis and Star Ocean but completely forgot to do it for one reason or another. I'm aware that the eShop is practically a minefield of lag around Christmas time since almost everyone's accessing it at around the same time so I'm wondering how long I should leave it before making my splurge. I'm thinking sometime around the 28th/29th but I'm not really sure what to do honestly XD

@Fizza I bought mine yesterday ready to play for Christmas day. I think most games are on sale until 1st of January?

Hi everyone, I got a Mario edition Switch OLED as a Christmas gift. I'm wondering what I should do while I set it up though... I'm not sure if the amount of downloaded games and save data would all make it into my Switch OLED, so should I just log into my Nintendo account on there, and download whatever I can? I also have Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and I know there's a separate process to transfer your island over to another Switch. Any help is appreciated... thank you!

Edit: Oh and I forgot about something. Do I get to keep my current friends on my friend list on the new Switch? Thanks again!

@MarioLover92 Do you have NSO? The majority of games are easy to transfer save data if you do; you just logon to the same account and download whatever games you want and the info menu of each game lets you download the save file. System settings also has a setting about automatic syncing.

For animal crossing you need the island transfer tool so that is a rare exception. Just follow those directions separately.

Also you'll want to change the new Switch to 'primary' in the settings. Your non-primary switch has to have Internet access to work. You can keep using both Switches if you want, you just have to be careful about exporting and importing save data every time so you don't lose progress (again, easy enough in the info menu of each game).

Friend list will be the same.

I use both a Switch and a Switch Lite and Nintendo makes it pretty easy to manage and jump back and forth using the same account.

@FishyS Yep I do have NSO. I think once I start setting up my Switch OLED, I'll log into my existing Nintendo account, make my new Switch the primary console, and take it from there. Good to hear that my friend list will be intact and that it does seem to be an easy process. Thanks for your help!

what we can expect for Nintendo in 2024

Apologies for barging in here, but I just wanted to ask a question regarding the newly announced NSO icon reruns to (and I know this sounds oddly specific but hear me out) EU users/those with NSO: what are the purchasable icons for today? I'm currently not able to access my Switch right now and am curious as to whether these returning icons (as seen in this article) are being supplied on a daily or every-other-day basis. I grabbed the Metroid Prime and Warioware icons that were available yesterday and would love to not miss any of the returning ones if possible. Thanks for listening to my extremely odd query and, if you know what they are today, please let me know if possible!
