@Fizza Fire Emblem Engage. A new returning batch happens every day and each batch lasts 2 days so like Metroid Prime was yesterday and today, Fire Emblem Engage is today and tomorrow.
Began playing Loopers over the weekend. A visual novel with a story about a handful of people trapped in a Groundhog's Day situation. Caught in a time loop, experiencing the same day, over and over again. The production value doesn't reach the height of Witch on the Holy Night, but the artwork is a step above The Letter, the last visual novel I played and enjoyed immensely.
I like where this is going.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,555 games (as of March 31st, 2026)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
Do you guys remember when Game Freak was announced to be working on an entirely new action-adventure game/franchise with Private Division a couple months back? Well a website update seems to show that they have VERY high expectations for it (well, presumably it anyway, it's not actually referenced by name), dubbing it 'the next masterpiece that will surpass Pokemon'.

They are probably talking about Project Bloom.
Not much is known about it but I full confidence it will not be a masterpiece that surpasses Pokemon. Actually I can’t be bothered to wait so I’m just gonna post this now!
While that game would be a massive graphical improvement compared to Gamefreak's attempts at 3D Pokemon if its real as a game as shown there, Gamefreak's masterpiece will always be "remaking the Johto games for DS" and unless they HD-2D that game, this will likely not change.
Been playing my Switch OLED, and yep... the screen looks totally amazing. Comparing my V1 Switch to my Switch OLED, that's a night and day difference right there. Been playing Super Mario 3D World, Super Mario RPG, and the SNES games on NSO, and they all look fantastic on the OLED screen. The kickstand is so much better, as well. I went ahead and made my Switch OLED my primary console, too.
@Fizza Hey if you're not too busy, do you have Mario Party Superstars? Been thinking of playing it online on Saturday evening (in my time zone). If not, we could play Mario Party 3 instead.

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@MarioLover92 Yeah the OLED model is a big improvement all around. I was really impressed that they updated the kickstand.
@NeonPizza The main reason I skipped so many games on the Wii was the forced waggle controls. Dont get me wrong some games like Star Wars the Force Unleashed, Punch-Out and Wii Sports I loved them. In fact I cant even play The Force Unleashed on the Xbox 360 or PS3. Playing The Force Unleashed with normal controls just makes the game dull and boring. But so many games seemed to just force the waggle controls just because it was a Wii game making it a dull experience.

@MarioLover92 I unfortunately don't have Superstars but I'd love to play MP3! I'm going to be at work for all of today until about 6PM Irish time so convert that to your time zone and see if around 6-7PM my time would work for you. 100% down to play if it does end up working out though!

@NeonPizza@Tasuki I'm mixed on motion control. On the one hand I really like the de-emphasis of motion control on Switch. It was a fun concept on Wii, but... seems a little gimmicky and unnecessary for most types of games nowadays. I really like that Nintendo games now use it significantly less and often have options of whether to use motion or some other control scheme. I also like not having to rely on a peripheral taped to my tv. On the other hand... I do think it's nice that motion control and sensing exist and I wish it was better than it is on Switch. I feel like it can be a bit finicky sometimes for aiming and not as accurate as I'd like for exercise games. My ideal for the next console would be a sensor improvement but still not having motion control required for many games.
@Fizza That time should work for me. Just so you know, I might forget to check the boards while we play, and I'm not logged into NL on my phone as of now. I don't think you have Discord either, which I use for chatting while I play games online. Perhaps I should log into NL with my phone? Since I do prefer playing online with a wired connection, and my PC is in a separate room in my home.

@MarioLover92 Yeah, that should be good! It's currently 6PM here in Ireland so how about we have everything ready to go in about an hour from now at 7PM? Also sorry for the late reply, just got off from work XD

@FishyS I agree. While I don't hate motion controls, I hate it when it's the only option to play the game, and I felt the Wii did that too often. It's one reason I never played Skyward Sword on the Wii, even though I like Zelda games. It's why a few games I passed on the Wii versions and played the Xbox 360 versions instead.
