@FragRed I'm fine if the surprises are small but having to watch 30+ minutes of boring fluff just to get to it would be painful. Rather them just stick to the trailer uploads if they're going to go down that route.
@FragRed I think they're doing a 50 minute presentation because third parties have a lot to showcase for the first half but Partner Showcases don't get as much attention. Look at the viewing numbers on Youtube (main Nintendo channel numbers) for the Directs since September 2019:
September 2019 Direct - 2.6 million
Animal Crossing Direct - 2.4 million
March 2020 Direct Mini - 4.7 million
July Partner Showcase - 3.2 million
August Partner Showcase - 1.5 million
Mario 35th anniversary Direct - 9.3 million
September Partner Showcase - 1.1 million
October Partner Showcase - 0.412 million
Super Nintendo World Direct - 3.6 million
Seems to be pretty much the very bad July Partner Showcase put people off watching future Partner Showcases.
WILD GUESS: A Gameboy Advance Classic is announced, featuring X amount of GB, GBC and GBA games pre-installed. I feel like there has to be some kind of hardware/peripheral revealed, and I don't think it's going to be a Switch revision, so I'm going for a GBA Classic.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
@gcunit Hmm..sounds like a good/plausible idea but the classic GameBoy is the most iconic looking version but it would be crappy to play today and the GameBoy Advance doesn't feel iconic enough for a mini-console release.
@jump I had the same thoughts, so ultimately I just went with the fact that the original GBA design is the most appealing to me, and the fact that it would be a bit weird to have GBA games on a GB.

I imagine an issue with giving handhelds the "classic" treatment is the cost of including a decent screen by modern standards. Nintendo doesn't necessarily have to modernize this too much...but it would make me wonder why we couldn't just play these games on the Switch instead.
@timleon Right now you can't play those games on the Switch though and these things are really just novelty toys/collectibles rather than folk playing then on the bus.
The Corpse Party remake hasn't been announced for a release outside of Japan yet, right? If there's no word of it in the near future then I'll probably just grab it off the Japanese eShop as it has 33% off launch sale till March 8th.
