I was hoping for physical myself. I need X/X-2, XII and World of FF physical.

I know Crystal Chronicles is digital, and 7 and 9 will be as well. And XV Pocket is digital, although I'd really appreciate a physical release for that one as well, even though I don't think it'll happen.

But X/X-2 and XII are a must. So now we just need to find out if X/X-2 is getting a retail release. I think it will but you never know.

I'm still grinning ear to ear at the fact that Final Fantasy has finally come back home to a Nintendo console. And not just weird spin off games, but the core games in the series. Here's hoping FF8's licensing issues get solved and it's ported to Switch too. I will happily buy it a third time. I bought it on PC originally cause I'd lost my PS1 copy years ago. Hell, even with my complaints about ff12 I'll probably still buy it a second time too.

Somehow, FF Crystal Chronicles Remastered will has Physical release.

@subpopz Apparently there is a problem with the licensing for one of the music tracks used in the game, possibly one of the major songs that are used throughout the entire game. Until that gets straitened out of they line up a different song to use, the game being ported to a new system isn't going to happen.

You know, that's true!

In the first Teathrythm game, 8's ending theme was this pretty song with vocals, but when they released the second game they replaced with it a completely different (and worse) song. I was very disappointed.

I wonder what order they'll release the Final Fantasy titles in? I'd guess the main series titles will release in chronological order every couple of months or so with the spin offs somewhere in between.

Is FFVII the remake that was announced for PS4 or just an HD remaster?

@OorWullie Just the HD remaster, if you can call it that. The remake hasn't got any real release date (as far as I am aware) and probably won't be for a long way away yet.

Has anyone else had any issues with the eShop recently? I've tried to buy a couple of games recently but it always says that my card is invalid even though it's worked before with no issues.
I've deleted my details and added them again, tried PayPal and a different card but there was no improvement.

Strangely enough I can login with my My Nintendo account and just buy them off the Nintendo UK website with the same bank details....but it's annoying when I could just buy them on the console!

Does anyone else have this problem? I'm hoping it will go away because emailing customer service is never fun...

I almost always use PayPal, didn't notice anything when I bought FFXV after the direct.

But then again I don't buy games directly using my credit card on the eshop. I typically go to the store and pick up an eshop funds card, input that, and buy the game.

Neither, it'll be WWF Royal Rumble HD Remaster (an HD remaster of the old SNES game featuring my all time fav wrestler for a video game Doink the Clown and a "Tombstone Stunner" where the Undertaker hits his opponent with an actual tombstone)

I reckon we will see Metal Gear and Castlevania on the Switch before Pikmin 4!

Oooh, original Metal Gear. Still haven't beaten that one. My old copy would glitch out in one specific building and crash. Never could beat Castlevenia either due to it's brutal difficulty. Or Ninja Gaiden. I did complete Castlevenia 2 though.

Man, Castlevania I and III on the online service would be fantastic. I love those two games.

Same with the Ninja Gaiden series. I only ever got to play the first one, and could never get past the 2nd or 3rd stage. But man was it a blast.

Speaking of which, I wonder if Ultima Exodus will be one of the games added? That was a good game. It got brutal, and if you didn't cheat with a game genie it jumped from "Oh man, this is easy but only two party members are actually getting any experience" to "Oh my god, what just happened?!" when the 2nd set of enemy types started appearing. And finding the shrines to raise stats was a HUGE pain without a map. Still, fond memories.

@Grumblevolcano Plot Twist: Kanomi and Hideo Kojima make amends and begin working on new triple A games before either Pikmin 4 or Final Fantasy VII Remake come out.

Well, they haven't confirmed it for FFVII or FFIX, but those are both PS1 games. It would be akin to a physical release for Super Mario World or Super Metroid. As good as those games are there basically Virtual Console games being sold for 8 bucks. I think they'll charge $10 or maybe even $15 for FFVII and FFIX though, just because of how popular they are.
