I kinda hope the fact they are having a 3DS direct at the beginning of September is to make sure that theres a significant gap before the NX reveal later in the month, it would ensure people actually care without the hype being instantly overshadowed by a bigger announcement.

Out of the last 3 months, November is the most likely to have a Direct. And it makes sense for them to avoid Sony's September event overall. November will have Nintendo in the spotlight
If you're talking about home consoles, it would be the 8th. Many console releases were just different versions of existing consoles (e.g., the PSone), not new generations.
The Neo and Scorpio are just new versions of the PS4 and XB1
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
@Grandpa_Pixel That depends, November is often the big month for holiday games, the average consumer who doesn't read news sites could easily overlook a Nintendo Direct. Plus that's the month Pokemon comes out? I'd imagine there's going to be a big last minute marketing push for that games

@FragRed Well I am using statistics to guess when they are. I guessed September and that was spot on (regardless of if my leak was right) and now I am putting a bet against my friends on November. I am that certain.
For the last 4 years, Nintendo has done a Worldwide Direct in November. Neither October or December holds that.
