I have a hopeful feeling that Splatoon will get an extended update cycle due to the online program being delayed.
The sheer amount of options
for online on Switch is so impressive they'll have no issues selling it. It'll be better than people expect, it was likely delayed due to the negative feedback.

I wouldn't mind if we got Splatoon 3 with the next console and we just had more substantial DLC packs like the Octo Expansion that adds to the base single-player game. We don't need a new game to come out so quickly like Call of Duty or Battlefield, so just keep releasing free multiplayer updates while making DLC worth it.

I was listening to a podcast about the upcoming PS4 Spider-Man game, and then I realized how awesome it would feel to web sling in that game with HD rumble. I need that now!

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is on sale for $20.

Hmm... I never played it and I know I'd have a great time, but I still need to finish Xenogears first...

@EvilLucario Even if you can’t play it now, I recommend you go ahead and download it. I’m personally not a huge fan of the Shovel of Hope campaign, but Plauge of Shadows is great and Specter of Torment is one of my favorite games of all time.

@Pazzo-ZaFool The current online is fine, what's there to improve?

@EvilLucario I was debating that just a bit ago but I jave played it on the 3ds but it has so much more content now. Still I need to wait for $15 before I pull the trigger. Worth full price and then some though.

@Octane I mean by how the backlash to the phone based system likely caused Nintendo to rework the payed system.

I see a bit of discussion whether the JP or NA boxart for the X Collections is better.

Personally I prefer the EU boxart shown below:

Shovel Knight is fantastic, and I'd recommend it to anyone who has yet to pull the trigger, but owning it on 3DS, I just justify getting it on Switch. Playing on the TV just isn't THAT important to me.

@Pazzo-ZaFool The phone's going to stay I'm afraid. I don't think there's an option to do voice chat any other way. But that's more hardware related than online.

@Octane Personally I'm fine with the phone, but what do you mean by hardware related? I thought the Switch could manage both.

@Pazzo-ZaFool Well, the Switch doesn't have a built-in mic, and I don't think it support headsets. Because if it did, and if it was possible, why use the convoluted phone method in the first place?

In addition, what's the point of making voice chat a key feature when it's not something Nintendo wishes to push? It's only a shame 3rd parties have to have workarounds for talking with randos.

I assume that's a cart and not just a download code in a box. In the UK it's £12 more expensive than on PS4 and Xbox One though for some reason.
