See, I don't get YOUR mentality, actually. People like you try to champion yourselves as these rational soldiers of anti-fanboyism or whatever you want to call it, espousing open viewpoints for multiple consoles, blahblahblah.

But as soon as someone gives a viewpoint that YOU don't agree with, you slam it? I just don't get it. If the dude wants to vote with his wallet and not support third parties that won't develop for his preferred system, he's free to do so. You can "not understand" his viewpoint all you want, but the reality is that you're implying his viewpoint is inferior to yours, which is ironic given the banner you profess to march under.

Less than a month to e3!

What's it gonna be? Im guessing Pikmin 4 and Mario Rabbids Kingdom are their big reveals, along with focus on Arms, Splatoon 2, a new trailer and release date for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, a new trailer and release date for Fire Emblem Warriors, a huge trailer for Super Mario Odyssey, with month of release at the very least, and I'm guessing they'll tout Skyrim a bit with a release date to draw in some of the 25 million fans who love that game.

I'm also thinking we'll see no sign of Smash Bros or Fire Emblem. They'll save these for the fall Direct when 2018 is closer, along with a surprise or two to show alongside them to get the first half of 2018 lined up.

I want to believe we'll see Metroid either at e3 or fall Direct, based on hope of Reggie's "talk to me this time next year" comment, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I guess, somewhere deep down I am holding out some hope but... ya.

@JaxonH With Nintendo's decision for a more online focus regarding ARMS (it would've been a normal demo, not the Global Testpunch otherwise), I think even more that Smash needs to be fall/holiday 2017. Got to justify that online fee so having MK8 Deluxe + ARMS + Splatoon 2 + Smash 4 Deluxe would make the online subscription fee more tempting to pay for than just the first 3.

Federation Force HD, Pokemon Go 2, Amiibo Festival HD, and Super Smash Bros for 3DS Switch Edition.

Go find a Switch and come back when you have one! 😝

All I want is more Odyssey. And an announcement of a Smash port with new characters. And one or two surprises.
Everything else is probably gonna be fluff.

There will be something huge and unexpected revealed,I can feel it my bones.Pikmin 4 as good as that will be doesn't have that wow factor.Pikmin 4 may be revealed but it wont be the game that has even the Switch's fiercest critics gushing with praise.My guess is it will be Retro's title and I'm going to put my non-existent reputation at stake and say it's coming November 2017 along with Mario.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Interesting info on Project Rainway. Too bad I get the sneaking suspicion that this probably won't end up being much more stable than PS4 --> Vita remote play, especially with the Switch's weak wifi connection.

@OorWullie I don't think Nintendo is foolish enough to put anything up against Mario! If Retros title is ready within the next year we may see it in January or February.

I definitely think Retro's title will be shown at either E3 or in an upcoming direct after E3. Leaning towards E3, though. I think it will be Metroid. Reggie's hints are definitely evidence to support that theory of "talk to me this time again next year." I think it will be released early next year (Feb-March) to get that early-year lineup rolling. A lengthy Metroid title will be just what the doctor ordered for that objective.

@Spoony_Tech I suppose it depends on what kind of game it is.If it's a 3D platformer or cartoony game then it definitely won't be releasing alongside Mario but if it's a more mature title,dare I say Metroid Prime 4,I don't think releasing them close to each other will hurt either's chances.I just think with Scorpio's reveal and release coming in the next few months,Nintendo need something else big to go along with Mario for the holidays.Maybe Retro's title will be an online focused game?

Really though, I just want a MHXX announcement for the Switch. I mean, I know Stories has already been announced here, but...still an HD port of Double Cross would be awesome.

Would love to see Atal Ka or whatever she's called on the big screen. lol

All I need at this point is Metroid Prime 4 and an 8th gen Pokemon game that's more exploration heavy and I'm good. Anything beyond that is a bonus. The Switch's lineup looks stellar just based on 2017, hard to beat BotW, Mario Odyssey, and Sonic Forces. Never expected to have all of that in the same year.

See, this is exactly what Switch needs. The 3rd party games 3DS was getting... go ahead and sliiiiide those right on over. 3DS support was enough for 3DS, so if Switch starts getting the 3DS transition from devs, along with all these Vita titles, along with Nintendo's creme de la creme...

@OorWullie Wasn't Tropical Freeze done but pushed back to make room for 3d world? More or less TF was moved so it could actually sell. Sure they were both platformers but they aren't going to have a serious contender go up against Mario.

@DarthNocturnal That's pretty much what I'm expecting, too. Spring Man and the Inklings are the most obvious contenders for new characters at this point.
If they can mesh up all of the unique features of both versions into one meaty package, that'd be very awesome. Wonder if there'll be a story mode to spruce things up...

I'm expecting an Animal Crossing game to be announced as well. The problem with that though... is that I'm not sure I see a 2017 release for that game. I'm well aware of the fact that even if it's a 2017-centric E3 for Nintendo, there's still the possibility of seeing later titles. Still... I'm not so sure for Animal Crossing's case. I guess we'll see soon.
Oh yeah, right. It's going to be nice finally seeing what Retro Studios has been up to all these years. Half or me expects MP4, the other half expects a new IP. Either way, it should be awesome.

@Spoony_Tech You're probably right, early 2018 is more likely. I'm still leaning towards it being shown at E3, even if it's just a brief teaser. Maybe Xenoblade 2 will actually get a big push from Nintendo unlike the previous 2.

I could see Retro's title going one of two ways: either they reveal it at E3 or a Sept/Oct Direct for a February/March release, OR they'll save it for the Game Awards in December for a May/June release.
