Topic: Valkyria Chronicles 4 Coming to Nintendo Switch!

Valkyria Chronicles 4 was just announced and it's coming to the Switch next year in Japan (No specific date). It used to be Playstation exclusive but its for both PS4 and Switch now.

For those who don't know, VC is fantastic Tactical-RPG series with 3 games. It's made by SEGA too. Great stuff.

Anyone here play the first one? (Still haven't finished it myself )

I played the first one on Steam but despite not finishing it, I really enjoyed it. It isn't an easy game for sure.

Nintendo uploaded a video, but I am at work so I will watch it later when I can hear as well as see.

Not my kind of game. But good news none the less. With the Switch's success in Japan we should be seeing more and more games from developers over there finally making their way to Nintendo.

I love the series, even though I haven't finished a single one. If the game sells well we could see a port of the PSP one? Maybe?

Great news. I haven't played any others in the series but I love tactical RPGs. Also, it's just nice to see big publishers announcing their new titles coming to PS4, XBox and Switch in the same breath.

Never played Valkyria Chronicles, but I have enjoyed Codename STEAM so I may try this

Oh, Valkyrie Chronicles is way better than Code Name STEAM. It's one of the finest strategy games ever made, and the only one I see as equal to Fire Emblem.

You're in for a real treat.

I've only played the first so I really really hope they port the other games as well. I'm sure a lot of Nintendo fans would as well. Having not played any of the sequels could someone tell me how/if the sequels continue the story or not? Please no spoilers because I am still working through the original on my PS3

I guess Valkyria Chronicles 4 is another huge JRPG joining the ranks of 2018 Lost Sphear, Project Octopath Traveler, Dragon Quest Builders, Dragon Quest XI, (don't know about DQB2, DQX and DQ Heroes I&II but I hope they get released as well), Shin Megami Tensei V, Phantasy Star, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy, Tales of..., etc.

I want them all, but most importantly the Secret of Mana Collection.

I guess I'll just revive this thread.

Yes, the game is looking fabulous on Switch! We've got a lot of great games to look forward to end it all kicks off next week with Okami HD.

Easily one of my most anticipated games of 2018.

VC4 should be a nice rebound for the franchise after the mediocre Valkyria Revolution.
