@Joeynator3000 It's a common error ever since Twitter, y'know, fired all their staff. But usually you can fix it by clearing cookies and turning off any browser extensions you have. Assuming you weren't on a weird browser.

@Joeynator3000 ooh ... the message happens a lot on PCs too. If the error is on Switch, you may just be borked. 😅 You can always transfer files via smartphone rather than twitter.. that's what I do... you just use the QR code transfer thing.

Is the error happening to anyone else or is it just me for some reason? Also I'd rather not use my phone, it's a pain when it comes to transferring stuff. lol

I remember hearing about it starting to happen a while ago, and I don't think there's a workaround. The login page just doesn't seem to work with the Switch's browser any more.
If you have to use your phone instead, there are apps that make the process a lot quicker by automatically connecting and downloading the images/videos when you scan the QR code.

What Switch browser?

It's an embedded browser. You can't just start it up and point it an arbitrary web site or anything but it pops up from time to time, e.g. if you have to log on to a WiFi network.

How do you even use the Switch browser to post to Twitter? I thought you could only use it when you need to sign in somewhere, like a WiFi provider or Steam (for games with Steam cross-save support)?

You can post to Twitter from your Album by linking an account, at least when it's working.

In that instance, you don't actually see the browser, although I dare say that it'd be possible to spoof it into doing something funny by changing your DNS settings.

I haven't tried it recently but a few months ago I tried posting an image and there was some sort of glitch which allowed me to actually browse my twitter account on my Switch. Maybe Nintendo's deliberately disabled it to stop people doing that. Or maybe it's just because twitter's generally a broken mess nowadays.

I don't use it daily, but I've not had a problem. Tried it just now and it's working fine:

My understanding is that as long as you're still logged in it should continue to work, but if you get logged out for any reason then you can't log back in.

Ugh, figures, I had to reconnect to Facebook countless times for no reason, never had issues with Twitter...What causes them unlink?

...I really don't get it, I looked around and everyone has said you're still allowed to sign in to Twitter to share Switch screenshots and clips, no problem. Me? Nah...tried everything and I just get the error. Guess I'm permanently screwed...because why not?

I can think of trying one last thing, since I couldn't think 100% straight due to a headache I've had...if this doesn't work, then, I got nothing.

EDIT: Nope, I'm just 100% screwed, no more screenshots or clips from me, yay!

And nothing of value was lost.
