Topic: Top 6 Wanted Switch Ports that prolly won't happen

1-Kingdom Hearts series (Because Tetsuya nomura said it's technologically difficult)
2-Persona 3, 4 & 5 (Because possibly the poor sales of P5S & Catherine on the switch aren't convincing enough)
3-Nier series (Too intensive for the switch to handle)
4-Genshin Impact (Since it didn't work well on the ps4, there's no doubt it won't work for the switch)
5-Yakuza series (just like nier, too much for the switch to handle)
6-Metal Gear Series (Possibly Konami doesn't care about the ip anymore)

Despite me not holding my breath for it I would actually double dip on any of the Persona games if they came to Switch, or at least any PS2-era SMT game like Digital Devil Saga or the Raidou duology

Same with Kingdom Hearts and NiER Automata but again, the likelihood of most of these happening is very low either due to repeated console exclusivity with particular series, or the games just not being technically feasible in the case of NiER and Kingdom Hearts kind of

@Quimbolas Honestly I think the Pixel Remasters are way more likely to be coming to consoles than people think

VII and IX were also initially just on Steam and mobile for about a year before they announced the PS4 port of VII, and IX, the X/X-2 remasters, XII and VIII eventually all came, and now they're all playable on every major modern console. They're obviously going to do the same for the upcoming remasters of I-VI in like a year

Gran blue fantasy verses, It could be a easy port, but I don't think it will happen.

GC is the system Nintendo continually ignores when it comes to legacy content on new platforms so that's 1, 3, 4 and 5. Radiant Dawn is a sequel to Path of Radiance so Radiant Dawn would never come to Switch if Path of Radiance didn't also come.

Given Sony has put 1st party games on PC recently and are continuing to do so, I see the release of Persona 4 Golden on PC like that. Sony doesn't consider PC to be a competitor to Playstation so they're fine with Atlus releasing mainline Persona games on PC but Sony won't allow Atlus to release mainline Persona games on other consoles (e.g. Switch, XB1, Series X|S).

@Grumblevolcano As unlikely as Persona on Switch is, Sony is absolutely not a factor in why it hasn't happened. It's only exclusive to Sony consoles because that's just how it is. Atlus self-fund and completely publish the games on their own terms just like Shin Megami Tensei which is mostly exclusive to Nintendo consoles

The reason why P4 on PC is a thing is also likely because a lot of console exclusive JRPGs like Yakuza, FF and Tales made similar transitions to that platform and benefitted greatly from its massive install base and audience. Especially given P4G up until last year had been confined to a handheld which (unfortunately) had a less than stellar install base, PC was a logical platform to put the game on so it could benefit from considerably more exposure while also requiring way less technical work and manpower than something like a remaster since then it can just be optimized for PC hardware with stuff like 60fps or higher resolutions

Doesn't even have to be Rare Replay for mine. A Banjo Kazooie/Tooie pack would do me just fine.

Mine are all games that I want to play but can't for one reason or another.
