Obviously, TLLTD has only just released, but I already think I enjoy it more than ACNH, which is saying a lot. I’ve sunk over 200 hours into that game and have paid off all my house debt (yes, it is possible). Yet, here comes Living the Dream, where I can create my own characters and thrust them into all kinds of heartwarming/amusing/ridiculous scenarios. Bro, I got Sigma (Mega Man X) into maraca-shaking along with a character based off of a friend. Meanwhile, ACNH has animals doing Naruto runs. Which do you think is more fun to look at? Of course, there’s also the problem of Miis demanding your attention for a mini-game every minute, but I guess you can just ignore them (feels wrong though). But you don’t have to wait around if you want to progress like ACNH forces you to do (unless you’re cool with time-traveling). Oh, and you can make your dream ships come true. Easily the better game. But of course, I’m open to hearing reasons as to why it’s not (I won’t agree, but I’ll listen).

I played New Horizons for 100 hours and I'm not sure I'll get that out of Living the Dream without it becoming repetitive. Honestly though, I think I prefer Tomodachi Life anyway, just because the gameplay 'loop' (such as it is) is more appealing to me. There's no obligation to play it every day until it becomes a chore, there's no grinding for materials or paying off loans - you just put a load of Miis on an island, dress them up however you like, and see what silly things they get up to. It's like playing with dolls that can talk back to you. And I think it will still be fun to check in with my Miis for years to come even if I'm not playing regularly (I still occasionally go back to the 3DS game), whereas once I start to lose interest in Animal Crossing I find it difficult to get back into, even after a big update like we just got.

Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
