Topic: Thoughts on squid parties?

The title says it all. If you don’t know what a squid party is it’s when you along with a couple players don’t splat each other and just mash ZL.

It's fine in Turf Wars since those don't really have an effect on anything. But having them in anarchy modes is annoying if you're trying to level up. Thankfully I'm a high enough rank that I don't run into them very often at all.

When I transitioned from Splatoon 2 to 3, I though that the squid parties would run rampant yet. Honestly, the frequency of squid parties is nowhere near as bad as Splatoon 2. At least 1/3 online matches would have the other 6 team members squid partying in the middle of the stage while some random users started spinning on the spot and falling off the stage. I’ve only seen squid parties occur once in the entire time I’ve played Splatoon 3 since I picked it up in October. If you are a Splatoon 2 veteran, you know the squid parties in Splatoon 3 are nothing in comparison. That’s probably because 3 is a much more competitive game than 2 as well, with everyone wanting to rise the ranks to S+ and top table turf battler or whatever.
