Topic: Them's Fightin' Herds (Switch)

Searched the forums and saw no thread for this game so made it myself.
But now is the perfect opportunity to make it now that the release date has been revealed for October 18th, and with confirmed crossplay, AND rollback netcode. For once the switch version isn't being snuffed out!

Very late but this game is a getting a season pass with 4 characters.
They revealed one on their twitter a bit ago:

Two will release this year and the rest will release in 2023.
Can't wait!

EDIT: Also an important note, there will be two console versions of this game - the deluxe version is included with the season pass hence why they're called deluxe editions, and the base versions which are $20 which don't include it.
Only those who purchased the PC version have to buy the season pass separately for $20 or $4.99 per character.

Can't wait til this releases on switch!

So I made an error on the actual console prices of the game:

Yes there is a $40 version of the game but it's not the only version, that is simply the deluxe version, there also happens to be a base version that's only $20 so you don't have to spend that extra $20 if you don't have to.
Learned this from checking the eshop.

Either way I'm still getting it but I hope the price points can encourage some people to get the game that otherwise weren't.

Just finished downloading the game!!
Gonna probably screw around in training mode and give the story mode a try!

Tutorials are surprisingly very well made and easy to understand.
It's not just "do this and that" it's "here's how to do this, it's applications and when you should do x move".
After a bit more of the tutorials I'll probably give lab some combos in training mode then give the story a try.

Is this physical as well as digital? I'm very tempted.

It is in fact, probably limited in stock though, you should probably check to see if your locals shops are selling it.

I can confirm that the game is indeed physically available, as I saw a copy in my local GameStop when I went in there to buy the inkling amiibo reprint.

I might get this physically, mainly because I want a irl print of that cover art.

Finished the story mode on medium difficulty. Didn't expect it to be so charming and for once a Fighting game has a story mode that isn't just back to back 1v1s followed by a bunch of cutscenes.
Will probably go back to find all the collectibles and on a higher difficulty.

Did arcade mode on medium with Arizona, I'm starting to think of trying out other characters beside her, my eyes are currently on Pom and Paprika.

Texas just got a new trailer with more on his moveset and a release date finally revealed!!

How is the single-player content in this game? I really wanna check it out, but if there isn't much, I don't know if I can justify it.
