@CJD87 thanks for the reply. I tend to like more of the medievil fantasy settings like a FE, diofield or potentially unicorn. I'll make exceptions for mario + rabbits though. Maybe ill grab unicorn and give it another chance.
I recommend you wishlist it. It goes on sale a couple or few times a year.

Going to need a pallette cleanser after playing M&L Brothership before I start up DQIII. I'm trying to decide to between a few games here if someone can tip the scales for me and why.
okay okay im gonna sound really stupid asking this since i think im the only person on earth who hasnt played it: is balatro really THAT good?
ive heard so many good things about it, but all the trailers have kind of bored me. so i was wondering if it was worth it to pick it up well its on sale 🥳
not as active as i used to be :(
just finsihed earthbound!
@NintendoByNature Tiny Thor is a super cute simple game. Fairly short and fairly easy, with a fair amount of optional content adding a bit of challenge and extra time if you want. If you're looking for a pallet cleanser and like platformers, it seems like a pretty good option. Nothing Astounding, but I enjoyed my time with it.
@OctolingKing13 I'm in your camp; all the trailers and gameplay I've seen have looked super boring to me. Even the glowing reviews didn't make the game sound good to me. For any game, I think it might just not be fun for everyone. If there was a free demo I would definitely try it, but there are so many games out there, I personally don't feel the need to spend money on a game which I think I won't like, even if it won lots of awards.
I just finished up Octopath Traveller 2, and I don't know if I'll actually get either of them, but if I was to get one of the tactical RPGs, would you recommend Triangle Strategy or Unicorn Overlord?
I'm not usually a fan of tactical games. The only one I've played that I liked was Stella Glow. Really enjoyed that one and beat it. I've tried different Fire Emblems a few times and never been able to get into them. I liked both Octopath games and I also like Vanillaware (recently beat 13 Sentinels and thought it was a lot of fun). Don't know if that helps understanding which one I personally might like better. And yes, I have played the demos for both, but not for too long. Thought they were both fine.
@FishyS that’s true, probably will get mario odyssey while it’s on sale so i’m prepared (after eight years) for the switch successors new 3d mario 😹 thank you for that lots tho !!

Easy Come Easy Golf....the best golf game on Nintendo Switch. I love to play this game using the touch screen when i am on my bed. Replay value is HUGE.
Brotato: this game is absurd fun. Replayability is ..... i dont know..i have 210 hours and i need more 47 characters do go on levels 4 and 5.....better than de great Vampire Survivors...and much more difficult.
Circuit Superstars: the new Stunt GP game. Gameplay is fantastic!!
New Star GP. Excelent racing game. This game is more "Grid" than Grid Autosport. Complete game. Fantastic.
@NintendoBebop I have my genre preferences, but here are my must have games:
Splatoon was possibly the biggest surprise for me. Don't let the family friendly look fool you, it's a sick shooter, and it does have some of that Nintendo magic. If you buy Splatoon, but the most recent, Splatoon 3 (that's were the most active online player base is).
Mario Odyssey is a bit revolutionary, and probably the best 3d mario. Astro Bot appears to have barrowed a good deal art-style-wise from Mario Odyssey.
Breath of the Wild & Tears of the Kingdom are also a bit revolutionary. They're both great, have their strengths.
Mario Kart 8 is the best selling title on the switch and best selling mario kart for a reason.
Other mentions: There are other zeldas, Skyward Sword (Wii), Echoes of Wisdom, Links Awakening.
Side note, virutal console days are gone. Classic nintendo games are subscription only now. Standard NSO sub has NES, SNES, Gameboy. While N64 games are exclusive to the premium Nintendo Switch Online+Expansion subscription.
@NintendoBebop Consensus would recommend starting with BOTW. And I think I agree with it. After I beat TOTK and went back to BOTW, there's a certain extra polish to BOTW that's really impressive. You can tell Nintendo massaged the heck out of BOTW development with the extra years they delayed it, it has an almost surreal disney-like polish to it.
(And do try sneaking into the castle. Don't wait till the end to go there. It's part of the game.<3)
About to make the jump to Nintendo lost total interest in the PS5. What are the must play games you would recommend I'm already looking at tears of the kingdom and Metroid prime.
If you like 2D Mario, absolutely get either Mario Wonder (for a short and easy but fun polished experience) or mario maker 2 ( for infinite levels to play at every difficulty level).
If you like Pokemon, Arceus is a must have.
If you like Kirby, Kirby and the Forgotten Land is pretty phenomenal.
@NintendoBebop I cannot recommend the Xenoblade Chronicles series enough, they're the perfect blend of rich stories with great characters, gorgeous worlds, and super in-depth combat. I'd recommend them even to people who aren't big into anime, because for all their tropes and such, they're some of the best RPGs I've ever experienced.
Of course, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are essential for basically everyone. I think I speak for most of us when I say you could spend hundreds of hours just having fun exploring! The amount of things to find and do in those games are overwhelming, but in the best way.
Lastly, if you're looking at games to play with friends, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the game for you. One of the best Mario Karts in the series history, and DLC that effectively doubles it. I envy anyone who gets to experience it for the first time. I always have a good time when I play it!
Honestly, if we're talking Switch exclusives, Nintendo's first-party output has been pretty stellar throughout the Switch generation. Even the games that people dislike (Like with Donkey Kong Country Returns HD recently.) usually are "It's good, but could be much better for full price." Everyone's going to have their own thoughts on their overall output this generation, but personally speaking, you have an absolute treasure trove of amazing games for you to peruse.
'The mask you wear serves its purpose well, but be careful not to lose yourself in it.'
@NintendoBebop give us some genres you're most interested in. There's too many 10/10 games to recommend honestly but maybe we can narrow it down for you.
@NintendoBebop ok, if we're talking action and rpgs(or arpgs) must plays on switch would be Breath of the Wild( then TotK), Xenoblade Chronicles 3. You could theoretically go with any one of the games on switch and they're all 10/10 games. But 3 is probably the best. Fire Emblem 3 Houses is the best Strategy RPG I've ever played. Bayonetta 3 is a phenomenon action game and if you're into that, a lesser played title by many is Astral Chain. It's high octane combat with some light detective work. Metrod Dread is a must play metroidvania as well. There's quite a few others I could recommend, but that's more than enough to get you started. Mario Wonder and odyssey are must plays as well, but aren't really action or rpgs. Just fun, relaxing experiences.
