The Trial is broken up into 3 parts. Something like a beginning trial, medium trial and final trial. You can only move on if you beat all the floors of the trial, and if you happen to die in one of the floors you'll have to start that trial from the beginning if you want to try it again.

They said the save file was separate around/ at E3. Why are you surprised?

That I have other things than a game I've already played to worry about during E3?

Considering the changed enemy placements and, oh yeah, the floating platforms with enemies and chests on them, swapping between Normal and Master like a regular difficulty setting isn't gonna fly.

The game regularly resets objects upon a respawn, I don't see why this couldn't be changed with a loading screen.

Fallout 4's survival mode was largely just a modification (or the implementation) of stats.

What do you think blue bokoblins and gold lynels are, lol, cause they aren't new enemies.

Stats that could be removed or scaled down if the player opted to drop back to a “normal“ difficulty. And even then, you can't flip back to Survival once you've disabled it. So it still requires a “commitment“ of sorts.

Yep, and I was able to turn put my existing character into survival mode so I could try out the cool new mode that I had paid for without leveling for another 40 hours and losing all of my progress. Fallout 4 could change its save system to only autosaves when sleeping in a bed and add in thirst and fatigue-related items, so I'm sure the lauded Zelda team could have managed spawning a few pieces of wood in the air if they'd set their minds to it.

@DarthNocturnal That big deal you're making out of a copy pasted enemy placement is why I wasn't watching a 3-month-old game's first and lesser DLC pack at E3.

@DarthNocturnal Skipping the BotW segments are pretty reasonable like I skipped the final Super Mario Odyssey segment to get pizza.

I've been going through catching up to my Wii U save file on Switch and I've found lots of stuff I didn't find on Wii U like a Stone Talus in the Great Plateau. I didn't get very far into the Wii U version (1 divine beast, 27 shrines, 3 picture memories, 16 side quests) so it seemed better to start over on Switch to take advantage of pro controller having gyro and being able to play the game anywhere. I'll probably be caught up in a week.

@Grumblevolcano How did you not see the Stone Talus on the Great Plateau? Were you media blackout for last year's E3?

I discovered it on my own, too - didn't realize it was shown at E3 lol

@rallydefault There were so many YouTube videos, haha. I feel like we talked about it here a ton.

@Tsurii @Haru17 Yeah it's all but certain BotW takes place in at least the child timeline. But the reference to Ruto as a Sage seems to indicate that BotW seems to take place in all 3 at once (aka a "convergence" timeline)

@Grumblevolcano So has anyone found out why the Wii U DLC is 3.7 GB vs the 456 MB of the Switch? Was that a typo or is it really 3.7 GB for Wii U?

@G0dlike That's interesting, but I haven't beat the game yet so I don't know if that's how the game will end. Interesting theory though!

Fair enough.

Ya, that 3.7 GB is just not the case, I checked before downloading, and it didn't take a lot away.

Got all the armor now, the phantom armor also scares people which makes sense, but sadly Majora's mask doesn't scare anyone (probably because it's a full set effect), now to do the trials whenever.

So anyone else making progress in hard mode, sorta interested to know if there is loads more lynels or enemies all around.

@The64Master also you can edit messages to add more text so you don't spam messages on the thread.

Woo! Just beat the 3 trials. The last one was probably the easiest because I had 7 hearty dishes for some reason. It was quite hard, too.

@The64Master
Talk to me,

I'm on the Beginner Trial and gosh dang, it's tough. I just beat the stone talus (like 6th room in?). One mistake and it's a wrap. Any tips? Are there save points somewhere in between? Is it 15 rooms each?

Gosh dang, if I mess up I'm gonna have to start all over too.
