@FishyS I mean, I know there's more to it- but it felt like I mostly just either summoned enemies or just used the sword ability to fight when I got tired of using the Echoes. The fact that the final boss is just about spamming your most powerful Echo just didn't sit right with me.

I may be wrong, but I feel like the whole final boss sequence was not actually supposed to be interesting as a boss in the way earlier bosses were. To me it felt more like an extended interactive cut scene than a boss. From an artistic point of view I didn't really mind ending the game that way, but for people who really enjoy final boss fights I can understand it would be very disappointing.
@Dom_31@FishyS@rallydefault Maybe later on in the game it becomes a problem I dont know since Inam early on in the game but I dont find Tri's hints or talking intrusive at all. To be honest Navi in Ocarina of Time or Fi I think it was in Skyward Sword where way more intrusive and annoying.

@rallydefault I don't have a problem with guide characters, I like a lot of them - including Fi, to stay sort of on topic - but Tri is just not a good character, imo. The little guy is pretty ignorant and it gets obnoxious when he has to chime in after every other thing I do in the story so far.
Atreus in ragnarok is the same, I like the "boi" in 2018 but I dropped ragnarok when he just wouldn't shut up and point out every solution to a puzzle, no matter how obvious, whenever I dared to look at any given situation for more than three seconds.
It's not about being handhold-y, it's about seemingly not trusting the player to process things for themselves before they might even want to SEEK the help from a guide of some nature.
But it's kind of funny you bring up Atreus because he seems to be the other "go-to" complaint, along with the dude from Prime 4 (haven't played that game yet).
Just seems to be a bit of a hive mind situation going on here is all I'm saying lol
So I finished the two minor dungeons in the Zora area and about to take on Jabu Jabu. Also spent a little time grabbing some more heart pieces and upgrading my sword. I also found a few of the smooth shops though it seems one of the ingredients for the smoothies has to be milk which makes sense but as a result I am out of milk so I need to hit up the ranch.

Wrapped up the Zora area last night and I must say for a water dungeon in Zelda it wasnt that bad of a dungeon. Maybe cause it was early on in the game and they didnt want the dungeon to be to difficult but I found it pretty straight forward. I will say that I am starting to enjoy the side view areas of the game, they add something different to the series.
I think now I will do a bit more exploring especially since I have bombs now and then tackle the desert.

I did the water dungeon somewhat late in the game but did desert super early when I had almost nothing. I'm not really sure if there is a preferred order; none of the dungeons are very hard but since you can do things in so many different orders, the echoes and upgrades and items you happen to already have makes a big difference
@FishyS From what I have read the first two dungeons it didnt matter what order you take them on. I just decided to do Jabu-Jabu first cause that's where I ended up when I was doen exploring for now.
And you are probably right in that the difficulty is all on how you tackle the dungeons and puzzles with what echoes. I will admit after I finished off the dungeon I looked up a walk-through and watched some videos and saw how other people tackled the puzzles and saw a few ways I didnt even think of. Thats one reason that I am enjoy this game so much.

Expanding a bit on the WAYP article, I finished all the minor rifts in Gerudo Desert and now I am about to enter the Gerudo Sanctum Dungeon. Manged to collect all the desert Echoes for now, I am sure there's a few in the dungeon itself. I also manged to max out my sword form, for now. I say that because I have a ton of mighty crystals but everytime I go to the laboratory to upgrade the sword I am told come back later or something like that.
I am still wondering how this game connects to A Link to the Past as anyone can plainly see it uses the same version of Hyrule. I am tempted to Google it, but I dont want to see any spoilers because I am hoping they reveal it in game.
As I stated before I have been going back and reading guides after I finish a dungeon or area mainly to see how others tackled some of the puzzles, areas but other then that I have been avoiding guides so I dont see any spoilers.
I also found out that my most.used echo for exploring is probably the water blocks lol.

Alright the Desert Rift is complete. Overall another great dungeon that didnt feel to complicated. Took me a little bit to figure the boss out, but that was mainly cause I spent a few moments just watching and learning his patterns. I also got a new way to attack when I am in sword form. So now I can use my sword as well as a bow and arrow. I am hoping now I will be able to upgrade my sword form since the game is telling me to go back to the laboratory.
