Apart from Pokemon I don’t think there’s much left that would lend itself well to the Warriors gameplay. I doubt Mario would be on the list as he’s too PG for it and games like Metroid, Star Fox etc don’t have a big enough roster.
@Blooper987 I could totally see them handwave the fact you have samus fighting other samuses in different suits as them being evil clones and/or robots.
Animal Crossing Warriors. All the fan favourite NPCs and Villagers adorably killing hoards of enemies. It would never happen but I would love to see it.
Playing P5S and seeing how it merged Persona battling/summoning with ARPG mechanics kinda made me think about how easy it would be to adapt stuff like copy abilities to the Musou formula
I feel like Xeno Warriors is probably the logical progression from Zelda and Fire Emblem if anything. Koei Tecmo typically loves to do these kinds of crossovers with more adventure-oriented franchises, especially ones that have a distinctly anime-esque aesthetic like Dragon Quest with Heroes, Zelda with Hyrule Warriors, Fire Emblem with its spinoff and more recently Persona with P5S. They've even straight up used manga/anime IPs for their crossover games like Fist of the North Star, Berserk, and One Piece.
If there was ever a way to resurrect Urban Champion, it'd be as a musou.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,247 games (as of April 15th, 2024)

Xenoblade would be my top pick (and probably the most logical), however now that someone mentioned it, Kirby would be dope as heck (and is unreasonably popular in Japan, so don't count it out).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Here’s an interesting idea. What if instead of taking another popular franchise they take an unknown franchise and build up a new series? I’m thinking Sin & Punishment, Murasame Castle, or Advance Wars.

That would defeat the point of a crossover though wouldn't, they want to get their hands on big properties so the Warriors games sell better as Warriors isn't really that big of a franchise despite the amount of games they release.
I'd love a Xenoblade Warriors game.
The franchise has tons of characters to choose from and if there's ever a XC3 or XCX2, some of its characters could easily be added as DLC.
