Last month on the 20th, this game was released in Japan. I kinda forgot about it until now, at first I was very interested in it. I still am, but from the trailer it seems to be a major expansion of Pop on the 3DS with new modes and all that. I really hope the energy thing is gone since it's a paid game like Pop (which kept the energy thing for some stupid reason), is there anyone out there interested in this? I always end up liking games that no one else gives a crap about, lol. For those that don't know, Battle Cats is originally a free-to-play mobile game. It's like a...tower-defense...? You collect cats and defeat levels to make them stronger and collect new cats. I found out about it via one of Markiplier's videos from last year and I've been playing ever since. Dunno why I love it, it's...very bizarre with what cats you get. Not to mention all the weird enemies you face as well. EDIT: Last August came the announcement of The Battle Cats unite, an English version of the game but only in the SEA (South East Asia) region. But since the Switch is Region free, why wait for a US version that may still not happen anytime soon yet? Hong Kong's eShop has the game and it's out now, to make things easier, use PlayAsia to grab 100 HKD (Hong Kong Dollars), the physical version also on Play Asia is oddly expensive for some reason. Also, despite this game originally being a free-to-play mobile game and this version still having the Energy mechanic. I can tell you this, Cat Food (the in-game currency that you would normally grind for or pay with real money) is given to you LIKE CRAZY in this version. So don't let the Energy thing bother you, fully refilling it doesn't cost much cat food anyways. That said, there's also NO micro-transactions at all in this either, no grinding (I will say I stopped playing the Japanese version after the main story and a few of those optional...maps or whatever they're called, but never had any issues with being walled off like with the mobile version) EDIT 2: ...Okay so it doesn't give you Cat Food like crazy, but refilling the energy is still super cheap in this version. Just don't spend the food all the time. The game does give you plenty of BOTH tickets via the minigames, though. Just bought the physical version as an impulse buy. Played a few games and its fun Any guides out there you guys would recommend? Also should I just keep spending the Cat food and upgrade all my cats all the way up?Im at 2nd mission and hjave 9500 Cat food.

I use the food to get more cats, as you go through the main story modes you'll unlock more groups.

...Updated the first post...looks like they're FINALLY localizing the game...were they just waiting to take a few years to finish updating the game before localizing? Are they going to continue updating? Ugh...I want to buy this version to support the localization, but...ugh...I already bought this game twice...lol

Debating on getting this again just to support the localization...Anyone else planning on getting this? No idea why they doubled the price, you can basically get the Japanese version for about $10. :/

It took five years for the NA version to finally release, but here it is. Google says the game is online only. I'm going to see if that's true. I feel like it is false. Makes me wonder if the energy will refill without an Internet connection. I'm about to put the game through its paces so all my questions will be answered in time.

Game doesn't use an internet connection, it probably meant that the game is digital only.

Also shortly after it released I found out that, for whatever weird reason, Ponos decided it was a good idea to REMOVE CONTENT for us. So...No Heavenly Tower, or Advent Bosses...
