Truth be told, I'll be getting all of these. The ones I'm most excited about: Blaster Master Zero, Blazing Chrome, and Freedom Planet.
I'm sure I've asked this before, but I assume LRG is one that only does like 4000 copies? I never want to jump through hoops just to pay 4x what a game costs on the eShop, but I MAY have to finally try for one with realMyst. Myst is my third favorite game ever, but I've never played that version. (And so I can stop asking, who is the company that isn't limited? Whoever did Yooka-Laylee and whatever else can be bought at Best Buy?)
@Xyphon22 - For Switch it is different. It's an open window for a limited time, from there they round up and sell the remaining number that is required to secure all prints. But only the standard edition, and some windows are open for longer.
@Xyphon22 ....limited run games is the one that did yooka-laylee, lol. their switch games are 2-week open preorders for the standard editions. collectors editions are limited quantity, though.
@Paraka@Arbor OK, thanks. So do they do things differently with some games? Because I can go on Best Buy right now and buy Yooka-Laylee and Golf Story and some other of their games without having to visit their website in a small 2-week window. But at least it is good to know that I shouldn't have a problem getting one if I decide I want to.
@Xyphon22 best buy HAPPENS to purchase from nintendo some of the games that limited run has made. they have different cover sheets and are in limited quantity. my local best buy gets about 5 copies of each game and that’s it. and usually the best buy releases come out months after lrg’s sales
@Arbor That makes sense. I don't even know if my personal Best Buy has them, but you can get them from their website. Regardless, I'm just glad to not have to make sure to be on the LRG website at a specific time and be super fast or they will all sell out. I'm still not sure why they would be limited at all (surely they could make even more money by putting out more copies) but I guess it is working for them and it makes collectors feel special about their purchase.
