Topic: Switch Physical Boxed Games List & Release Dates (US & CA)

@Arcwave - The PS4 makes sense since, from my company reports (we do retail auditing), PS4 sells more consistently than the PS5 for games. Likely cause there is still so many who have not made that jump.

I thought the thread has been rather quiet, given all the impending physical releases for Switch.
Here are some physical preorders I'm due to pick up or have shipped in the next 2 weeks:

Plus LRG notified me Astral Ascent is on the way!

I have to build more shelves I think.

My library is getting some fun additions, but I wish they wouldn't all come out at once like this! 'Tis the pre-Holiday season, I suppose.

But is anyone else feeling buried by games lately? I've been too tired out after work to play games on weekdays, so I've fallen way behind on spending time with newish purchases. Maybe in my advancing years my gaming metabolism has slowed down along with my physical metabolism!

LRG still not being clear with newer releases. PO'ed is #261 for Switch, Wizardry is not numbered.

I'm also not crazy about their Friday launches being shadow drops instead of pre-announced.
I wonder why the sudden shift in practices at LRG.

Yeah, I take umbrage with LRG no longer supplying the numbered release splatter-sticker on the store page for each release. If that isn't present, I just assume it's a distribution title I can grab anytime off Amazon. If you don't diligently check LRG's numbered page you run the risk of a complete collection being busted up easily.

It's not just the site either, the number splatter-stickers are completely absent from their emails or social media posts, even for single-platform releases!

LRG release #255 is Valkyria Chronicles 4 "Complete". On one hand, the game is great. On the other hand, I already own the Memoirs from Battle edition. I'm in for a copy on general principle because I'm still chasing a complete LRG collection. But...argh, ouch, that's $60 I'd rather not spend.

It's so easy to love and hate LRG in equal amounts. We get releases like this. But then soon preorders will open for Wolfenstein II "Complete". For which I'll have zero qualms about spending to have that complete on cartridge.

I gave up on going after that complete LRG Switch collection. I just realized they release so many games that I have zero interest in, I couldn't justify it anymore. I think it was right around when they were offering those Atari re-charged classics (it was like 2 games on 1 cartridge). I was like, yeah I'm done.

Eeep- this LRG news would indicate that the Valkyria Chronicles 4 retail release I sought out last year is “incomplete?” I think I remember having to download the Japanese voice pack for it. I’ll have to research and see what other content was missing from the cart, before I buy this new LRG version.

I’ll be getting that “complete” Wolfenstein II right away though, no hesitation. That’s a big game to get complete on cart! (like Alien: Isolation) which really I should commit to finally play, given the spooky season).

Edit: Ugh, looks like LRG's Valkyria 4 Complete Edition still omits Japanese from its languages. What a bummer. I'll have to think this over now...

I'll pass since I have the 1-3 Trine Collection along with Trine 4. Pretty cool though.

Also, Graveyard Keeper is getting a physical release in Murica, published by Atari.

Although it's not for me, I found it odd that they released an "Ultimate" collection containing 1 to 4, but listed a separate physical for the 5th game too.

@RupeeClock Yes, but when 4 came out they had the "Ultimate Collection" with only the first three on cart and 4 as download code. But when they announced the physical originally they said all 4 would be on it. That was the main reason I cancelled my pre-order of that one, but if that is the trend and 5 is coming out soon, I'll wait again until the MEGA ULTIMATE COMPLETE DELUXE collection comes out in a few years

My luck right now Super Rare Games told me that I have won a copy of Mortuary Assistant and yesterday I have pre-ordered the game from them! I told them to give it to someone else. Why I had to pre-order so damn fast?

Seems like all my pre-orders have come at once. (Seven games in the last two weeks)
Now I'm at my new job I can't get the games sent here so are being delivered home.
My wife is now finding out how many games I have pre-ordered.
Oh dear....
I used the excuse that the games are limited so I have to order at the time available and they just all came at the same time.
She now says she can go on holiday with her mum without me with no regrets.
Ah well it all works out

@Zuljaras super rare games let's you cancel preorders. The exchange rate might not be favourable but still.

@Aurumonado Nah I told them to pick some of the other people that participated AND have not preordered like I did

Update: They insisted to get the prize and amend my order So I am getting a free Switch copy
