Here's a couple of physical game options that aren't from the usual boutiques.
Croc Legend of the Gobbos is getting a physical via Rock It Games.
Comes in an affordable standard edition, or a pricy collector's edition featuring a statue, as you may've seen from the recent Nintendo Life article.
Limited open pre-orders until December 10th, expected to ship Q2 2025: https://rockitgames.com/products/nintendo-switch-rock-it-game...
Maple Forest's Kickstarter campaign just finished, but they're still offering late backer rewards.
It also offers a physical version, however they don't appear to have stated who will be fulfilling it: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/natsukaze/maple-forest/
I am interested in Montezuma's Revenge [The 40th Anniversary Edition]. I owned the Parker Brothers game on the Atari 2600. Is there a preferred way for someone in the states to get it. Play Asia or VPG? Which is better?
@Belexes
Do you mean VGP for videogamesplus.ca?
If you're state-side that seems the obvious choice as they offer US shipping options and are on the same continent. Shipping should be much cheaper, and also free if the order is over $80CAD.
Also in the unlikely event anyone here has pre-ordered anything from Game.co.uk in the past year, I suggest checking the status of your orders.
Their site underwent a major infrastructural change in August and pre-orders from before then won't show up in your account.
I'd placed a pre-order for Ty the Tasmanian Tiger Bush Rescue Bundle with them, and the release date was October 25th. They've charged the Paypal account I used to place the order on the 22nd, but haven't received as much as a shipping notification email, let alone the actual game.
I reached out to them via Twitter DMs and direct email, and eventually got delayed responses explaining that their system is experiencing "unprecedented teething errors", but still charged me anyway.
I can see the signs though that GAME as a retailer is on its last legs. They likely had to downsize their operations and the system migration of their online store is probably to a more affordable but less reliable provider, also after shuttering their reward cards program and no longer dealing in buying or exchanging used games.

It would seem that would be the case, but I wasn't sure if there were other factors to consider. Videogamesplus it is. (Just received Trine 1 - 4 from them)
We had some Strictly Limited Games news lately - signs of life at last.
1) They're reissuing Iron Meat because of high demand. I sat out the first time, but it sold out quickly and I heard it's a great run 'n gun.
2) They emailed to say their physical limited edition of Dariusburst CS Core + Taito/Sega Pack has finally begun shipping. I placed my preorder for it on Oct 22, 2022. Ray'z Arcade Chronology is the only older unfulfilled preorder I have (placed that in July 2022). I hope somehow they keep it up and honor that and my other ancient preorders from them (Dezatopia, Steel Empire, and Eschatos).

So Limited Run is going to open pre-orders for Chicory: A Colorful Tale pretty soon, Friday next week.
As it happens, their Japanese operation Super Deluxe Games has had pre-orders open on Amazon JP for a longer while, and I think of the two this one may actually be the better option.
The Amazon JP release has an "Amazon Exclusive" option which appears to include digital wallpapers, and a pack of Mildliner brand coloring marker pens. All Super Deluxe releases come with a mini coloring book and a "front and back jacket" which I'm guessing is a sleeve. I'm relying on Google translate to check this though.
The LRG standard is $35 whilst the Super Deluxe standard is 4980 Yen, which is about $32.68 today. Shipping from Amazon JP might end up being cheaper than from LRG depending on where in the world you're ordering.
The packaging is considerably different but the contents aren't by much.
Both feature a two-disc soundtrack CD and printed art.
I'm strongly inclined to go for the Super Deluxe release, which should still support English language like their previous releases, and looks to be much better value. I'm liking the Deluxe box more too.
On top of all that, the Deluxe Edition has a release date of December 12th. It's going to be in my hands a lot sooner than the LRG release would.
@RupeeClock
Yes, that Chicory Deluxe Edition looks delightful and I had waited so long for a physical release for the game, so I preordered from Amazon JP back in September. Originally I was interesting in getting the game for one of my daughters because it looks adorable, but I heard it has some darker content, too? I may keep this for myself.
I'll be bundling it into a shipment with Taito Milestones 3, City Connection's "Black Box" edition of Under Defeat, both volumes of the AkeAka NEOGEO Selections and the Arcade Memories Vol. 3 pack of games for the Egret II Mini. It'll be a major Christmas present to myself - I better insure it for every last yen.

Oh yey, just got an email from Amazon cancelling my pre-order of the Figment 1&2 physical.
But just did a search and found it for sale on there, so bought it, WTF Amazon?
I AM ERROR

@Bunkerneath - Amazon has many third parties selling through them, I have had a similar situation upon multiple games ordered through them, especially imports or more niche titles.
@Bunkerneath
Fangamer.com are as well, used to be that just the US site had physicals with no PEGI option, unless it got a wider retail release. Fangamer.eu PEGI releases usually show up on the likes of Amazon UK or GAME.
Glad to see Little Kitty Big City get a Fangamer release anyway, but especially pleased to see Antonblast is getting a physical. It would've been nice if they could've included Anton Ball Deluxe though.
@Paraka
Considering Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip is a Super Rare Games published title, I think there's a good chance it'll get both a Switch port and Switch physical. Go Mecha Ball got a Switch port later on, so that'll be due its physical release soon enough. Also watching on the SRG physical for Grapple Dog Cosmic Canines, I loved the first game.
Another SRG published game I'm looking forward to is The Gecko Gods, I recall seeing it on a Wholesome Direct, no release date yet though.

EXACTLY! I've gotten a dozen cards about Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip and Grapple Dogs Cosmic Canines from SRG and it almost feels silly for them, a physical print company, to advertise their games digitally like... I'm not gonna expect physical? I won't wait?
If they didn't get physical releases, I would be genuinely confused. And Wuppo (albeit not on switch 😒) and Grapple Dogs got physical releases, so... I have a good queue to keep me busy.
Shoutout to VGPlus in Canada. Lots of good stuff for around 50% off. $80 in the basket total qualifies for free shipping. Highlights include Balatro, Final Fantasy VII & VIII (fully patched EU release), Curse of the Dead Gods, Vernal Edge, and Burnout Paradise.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,555 games (as of March 31st, 2026)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
