@MarioBrickLayer

Hmm, considering that pixel art, my guess would be Akatori.

This year's Black Friday might be first where I don't buy anything, lol.

Seems Gamestop deals are live on AmazonNA.

Very disappointing, I thought this would be a great release. Hopefully it still happens.

Something strange seems to be happening this Willy Jetman, Game and Base have the game available for pre-order for release on 6th January, but the game artwork has the funstock logo on it and they have cancelled their release, not sure if this is an error or if the game is getting a wider release? it is also listed on Play-Asia.

Special Reserve Games has two new Switch titles from Akupara Games going up for pre-order today: Kardboard Kings, and Relic Hunters Zero: Remix.

The latter is a particularly interesting choice, as it's completely free on Steam.

It's not free on Switch, mind you. It's ยฃ10.79 on the UK eShop.

Actually, Akupara Games have had their Switch titles published by the majority of boutiques now.
https://store.steampowered.com/franchise/akuparagames
Darkside Detective got a Super Rare Games release.
Rainworld, at least on PS4, got a Limited Run Games release. I'd quite like this to get a Switch physical release.
Spinch, Mutazione, Behind the Frame, Etherborne, are all iam8bit releases.

As for the two titles Special Reserve Games are offering today, I'll pass on them both.
Relic Hunters Zero: Remix looks pretty basic to me as twinstick shooters go.
Kardboard Kings is a shop manager type of game, which I doubt I'd enjoy.

I think both of those Akupara Games from SRG are easy skips.

Better to save my money for Inscription.

Agreed, Inscription is a must have, and I'll finally be ordering Cult of the Lamb at that time.
I might also grab Serious Sam collection, but not sure.

Red Art Games also just opened up pre-orders for a cute looking run and gun platformer called Omegabot.

Meanwhile on LRG, pre-orders for SkateBIRD just went live.
https://limitedrungames.com/collections/distro/products/skate...
SkateBIRD sadly didn't live up to its cute premise, and got poor critical and user reception.

If you do want a copy though, and want one with the proper red bird illustration instead that strange pink blob, you'll have to get it from Amazon instead.

Is SkateBird really that bad? I'm really tempted to pull the trigger, but $15 is a lot to pay extra.

Currently playing: Marvel's Spider-Man

Anyone seeing any credible site for the Front Mission 1st pre-orders? Half expected Play-Asia would have taken orders, looks like that's not a thing anymore.

Has any gameplay footage been releases yet?

Magician

@Paraka Yeah, Front Mission 1st is no longer listed as receiving a physical release in Japan according to Nintendo Japan's release schedule. Either the physical release has been shifted to being a S-E Store and/or Forever Limited Store exclusive, or the game has been shifted to digital only.

@Bunkerneath Shortly after its announcement, Front Mission 1st was previously listed as having an upcoming physical release ("package version") in Japan. Clearly that has changed. Even Front Mission Second is still listed as having an upcoming physical release, as it says at the very bottom of the link I posted. But since the packaged version of 1st has quietly disappeared I assume the same will happen to FM Second.

Up next from SLG is Drainus.

A good shmup by all accounts.

@Magician
Seeing them give a Team Ladybug game a physical release gives me hope for a physical of Touhou Luna Nights.

I'll probably add Drainus to a future must-have SLG release.
They shipped one of my orders recently too, they are keeping on top of things it seems.

Raji and They Bleed Pixels preorders are up at Premium Edition Games. Both are tempting, but I'll have to pass. Here in the later-half of the Switch's life cycle it's becoming easier to pass over "fair" or "average" aggregate scored games, boutique release or not. My collection is flooded with artistic platformers and pixel art action games.

@Magician
I'm in the same boat here. I need to be a little more selective of the physicals I pick up, with a huge physical backlog I still need to play.
I'm not sure about They Bleed Pixels, and Raji I think is mostly a curio, although apparently they overhauled the game significantly since the original release, which reviews are likely not going to reflect.
