Topic: Switch OLED Dock Shell

I just got the Skull & Co NeoGrip case for my Switch OLED and it doesn’t fit in the dock despite what the manufacturer says.

I see some people offer those mini-dock enclosures to move the intervals from the Nintendo dock to a small shell so I can leave the case on, but they all seem to be for the original dock, not the OLED one with Ethernet.

I also found one for the regular dock that reuses the whole bottom USB/spring dock assembly. That’s what I want.

Anyone have a good recommendation for a Switch OLED dock enclosure that’s good or perhaps a rock solid dock extender cable?

I don’t want issues and I’m not removing the case every time I want to dock it…

I'd prefer to continue using the genuine Nintendo components. Any suggestion on a housing that will take the Switch OLED components?

My OLED version works fine you have to be more carefully docking so the charge led connects.

The dock it came with should work just fine. It does for me. If it doesn't contact Nintendo to see what the problem is.

Is anyone reading the original post?🤣

@Dreamliner wants to dock their OLED without having to remove the Skull & Co Neogrip. And, is looking for anyone to recommend a solution/product, possibly a dock extender cable.

Since launch, I don't think I've ever seen any Switch grips marketed as being able fit in the dock. Granted, that would be convenient.

Perhaps @Dreamliner saw my reply that I deleted. I mentioned the Genki covert dock. But after thinking about it for a bit, I thought that option was would end up too awkward: Having the genki dock sitting on a wall outlet seems quite inconvenient. I wouldn't like it at either of my two main tv locations at my house. Plus, leaving your switch lying flat while docked also seems odd, possibly less efficient for cooling. And Zion happens to mention a similar opinion in the latter half of the video on the article page (at the 3:10 timestamp). So, that's why I originally deleted/withdrew my reply.

Well honesty if the Switch is being docked, it doesn't really need a cover. If you're worried about dust and such just place a towel over it when not in use.
