@BabyYoda71 Maybe they could just call it Animal Crossing Festival and don't make amiibo mandatory to play the game! And they could add move minigames and maybe some extras if you have save data for acnh!

@Jackpaza0508 Yeah, that would be cool. It’s a very underrated game, and I understand why, but it would be easy to fix. Animal Crossing Festival doesn’t have quite the same ring to it. They definitely should not make Amiibos mandatory, they would just have to think of a slightly better name. They would probably implement some sort of Amiibo card bonuses, like they did in New Horizons.

Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.

Only tried two races so far but the second entry in the Nickleodeon racer feels so right. Not just a nickleodeon racer but a racer with a dash of strategy. Genius.

Though right now I dont exactly want another cart racer, I need more of this.

A Disney, Cartoon Network, and Nickleodeon crossover would be cool if possible. A rerelease of Nick's Racers 2 with Cartoon Network and disney characters added though improbable would be cool if possible.

Also a simple wave based tower game with 4 player co-op splitscreen local wireless and online would be the stuff of dreams. Nothing overly violent, suggestive, or gorey but something simple, straight forward, and strategic so that kids or teens could play it without seeking help and adults could find deeper challenges if they seeked out like leaderboads or boss rush modes.

I'd like to see a battle royale racing game, with racers at the back eliminated with every lap.

It would be a great Mario Kart alternative for Nintendo, as a new Mach Rider or F-Zero game.

@Magician Did you happen to see that episode of falcon's show where everyone was fighting dirty in that annual race?

I dont have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe yet but it easily will reach my top five. In that respect I too would like to see alternative kart racer instead of something that directly competes with mario kart 8 deluxe from Nintendo( I dont think F zero would compete with mk8 since its an entirely different beast altogether)

I would like a Nickledeon, Cartoon Network, or disney as well as Nintendo crossover take on twisted metal.

Finding those secret weapons and powerups. Strategic ally choosing our vehicles due to their unique items added so much adventure and strategy to that game. Still one of the most in genius games ever.

I remember thinking calypso's nuke mobile was so clunky but when i learned one of us in our two man campaign runs could kamikaze his nuke mobile, it blew my mind especially when we learned if we used the direction cheats we wouldn't have to even die.

Before that i would use a fast car perhaps that one with the freeze item and another would play as calypso. Also getting back on subject if Nickledeon and friends and Nintendo and friends did this we could get a great alternative driving game thats more lighthearted than the game that inspired it although it would lack that killer rob zombie track. Lol. But these childhood tv giants have OT for their tv shows and Nintendo have soundtracks from their games that would be iconic in their own right.

MMORPG

I think the Switch could use a great MMORPG. Of course with some graphics engine that works well with low poly count and does age well too. Think World of Warcraft, it has such a distinct style... or even Fortnite to some degree.

I'd enjoy something with clear class distinctions and co-dependencies, forcing you to play cooperatively to face the toughest challenges. Of course this would need optional keyboard and mandatory VOIP support.

The theme itself, I don't think it has to be something "traditional". It could work in any of the larger Nintendo universes, or even something that combines all the world. Heck call it "Nintendo World Online" and I'd be happy.

also...

MOBA

I do know, that there are some MOBAs on the Switch, but I'd love to see an official one that plays as buttery smooth as Splattoon. I think the whole cast of first and some third party characters would lend really well to this format. Also you could go the "ever expanding roster" route MOBAs are traditionally known for and what Nintendo themselves did and do with Smash.

Besides that pretty much all of my favorite genres are present on the Switch.

Tactical RPG, casual fun games, "citybuilders" and Management games. Nothing beats Two Point Hospital though.

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.

@Scollurio When the switch was revealed I thought a packed in or download able rpg that played a little like one piece unlimited world red but with Nintendo characters would be cool.

That ageless Super mario world snes music playing in the background, mario throws a spitfire🔥, link shoots an arrow through it to create a synergistic flaming arrow. Samus drops a mine, yoshi eats the mine, eggs it, then throws it at Giant winged Goomba champion for double bomb damage.

There are quests you can find around the map like a toad farmer in moo moo meadows having a mole problem and the moles challenge you to a race.
-Additional info: The normal racing is in the game too, the open world is just like a story mode like diddy kong racing.
-You can get little upgrades to your kart using coins you get from finishing quests in the open world.
-You unlock characters by racing them in the open world
-Instead of having metal mario/tanooki mario/pink gold peach as separate character slots, you can buy extra costumes with the aforementioned coins.

Hell yeah! This would sell a ton and give the Switch a proper Mario Kart of its own.

-Working Title: Super Mario Ages
-The gist: While the celebrations for mario's 35th are almost over, here's an idea for a mario game that picks and chooses different elements from past games and makes something new using them like sonic generations! It's Mario's 35th birthday and he's in his attic reminiscing with Luigi when he finds a strange device called the Virtual Console. Luigi drops it and that sucks mario and luigi into the worlds of classic mario games starting in Super mario bros (NES) and ending in a dimension where every forgotten enemy from the past games are back and out for revenge. The final boss is Wart the Toad.

Additional Info
-It's a 3D game with 2D segments
-Each game world only has a few levels from each game but remixed
-There are loads of remixes of classic tracks and has a sounds mode where you can listen to the soundtrack
-Luigi is playable from the start

This is an awesome idea

I am surprised they haven’t created a 3D sandbox type game. They don’t have to be where you create courses, just where you create your own Mario themed world.. then expand to other worlds like DK, Kirby, maybe even Splatoon, Fire Emblem etc.

-Working Title: Super Mario 3D Land + 3
-The Gist: Just 3D land again but with extra levels, 4 player multiplayer and upgrades to the levels that make them wider to accommodate for the extra players.
-Additional info
-Amiibo is supported
-The soundtrack gets a full live recorded remake

Posted sarcastically elsewhere and now I really want to see a game like this:

Full Metal Furries

An online arena game where you pilot an assortment of anthropomorphic styled mechs.
Imagine giant steam punk styled fox, wolf, rabbit Gundam all with differentskill sets and abilities.
In my head I visualise it as a cross between "Virtual On" from the Saturn for gameplay and "Bucky O Hare" for aesthetics.

Edit: I've now got the Bucky O Hare theme song stuck in my head and a strong nostalgia hit, so off to YouTube to watch a couple of episodes.

Either this or a full fledged Mario Kart 9 needs to happen ASAP.

Anywhere, here's an idea of my own:

It'd be a 3D DK game, not quite sure what to call it (maybe Donkey Kong Jungle Bash or something along those lines?), it'd be a 3D game that's a hybrid platformer/beat em up (think something like God of War, Knack, or the Werehog from Sonic Unleashed) and would become a full subseries of DK if successful (essentially becoming what the sandbox Marios and Metroid Prime series are for their respective franchises, and hopefully Pokemon Legends). You would use a variety of jumps, rolls, punches, and slaps to not only navigate platforming sections but also defeat enemies as you bash through linear 3D levels. It would also support 4 player co-op and you can play as DK, Diddy, Dixie, and Lanky, and there would also be a battle mode like DK64's. The fruit weapons also return as a powerup, you find them in a crate and you have a set amount of ammo to use before it runs out and you lose it.

I get that they might not want to kill the golden goose that MK8D is, but they could be selling a game that would easily sell 20MM in a year instead of the steady but smaller stream.

To be honest there's enough cancelled or rumoured projects I'd liked to see revived rather than making them up. Donkey Kong Racing, Star Fox GP, Pikmin 4, Retro Studios' Sheik centric Zelda game, Metroid Dread, Mario Wrestling, Project H.A.M.M.E.R. and Cosmic Walker from the guy that created Persona would be great.

Nintendo Kart Maker would be my ideal for the next iteration.

Botw2 spin-offs. If the world is more stable (but not as stable as the Switch itself), then why not have a AC-lite type game or something based around the supporting characters.

Back to the non-screen games! More with the HD rumble and the IR reader. Some sort of Lazer Tag / Quasar Lazer thing?

A board game that interacts with the switch via IR or QR codes..?

Oswinner

I would like Rare Replay to get ported to Switch, it belongs on a Nintendo console. Better FPS and no frame rate dips on games like Conker, Banjos and Perfect Dark? Add DK64 to the collection too. Yes please. And that will lead to a spiritual successor to Perfect Dark. I hear they are rebooting it? I don’t care, although you could argue TimeSplitters was a spiritual successor maybe? I’ve never played it unfortunately. But yeah, a game like Perfect Dark with new characters and world. A super spy agent game.

Oswinner

jump

@Oswinner I wouldn't call Timesplitters a spiritual successor to Perfect Dark, they are both first person shooter but the settings are way different.
