Topic: Switch: Co-op games

Topic focussed on sharing our favorite co-op games for Nintendo Switch.

I've consulted the NL article (link below) on several occasions to get inspiration from the list and the comment section. However, I'm missing the Adventure/story-line co-op games mentioned anywhere.

Personally I have great memories of co-opping Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Vesparia (the latter being available for Switch). Is there something similar available on Switch right now?

Moreover: what are your favorite co-op games for Switch at the moment? Are you still enjoying serious couch co-op gaming sessions to pull all-nighters during your weekend?

I've always wanted to try Divinity Original Sin II's co-op, but haven't yet.

For me these are the best ones my wife and I have played.

Luigis Mansion 3 = The whole game is co-op once you get the Gooigi power up. It's such a charming game. Lots of cool little details.

River City Girls = Really fun, a great spin on the river city ransom formula. Boss Battles in particular were great.

Great idea for a thread! I've been looking for a good game for my wife and I to play together.

@Wargoose or anyone, is multiplayer in Luigi's Mansion 3 any good? I haven't seen much coverage of that perspective of the game.

Hey, I'm looking for a couch co-op game, where you can level up together RPG-style. Any suggestions?

Overcooked and Overcooked 2 are fantastic, if occassionally stressful. Snipperclips is fun but brief. If you have 2 switches and 2 copies of the game Animal Crossing is a great experience (can't comment on single switch play, but I've heard it's disappointing).

And these are all games I play with my wife. She has some experience with games, but not much. She's the type of gamer who never holds down the run button in 2d platformers (which gives me much anxiety lol), but she dominates at Overcooked.

Give me a heads-up if you're going to send a request please.

The ones that I most enjoy playing with my kids at the moment (6 and 8, neither particularly gaming-proficient past Animal Crossing)... all good for short snippets rather than marathon sessions.

  • Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime - playing through on casual mode, everyone feels like they're bringing something to the party, lots of satisfying shooting but not constantly frantic.
  • Moving Out - a great way to get angry with your children. "No! Stop playing with the turtle! Stack the boxes properly in the truck otherwise we can't get everything in! Stop jumping in the pool! Not that left, the OTHER left!"
  • Overcooked - see above, but with no one washing the plates up.

@dionysos283 In the opening of the thread I mention the 'Tales' series. Tales of Vesparia is out on Switch and gets a discount moreless twice a year if I followed it correctly. It's a great co-op experience to go through a storyline together with max 4 players and all your classic RPG elements are included.

Your question is my main reason for starting this thread. Starting to believe that Switch is lacking in games like these as most tips posted are from different categories (though some great recommendations in here I see!).
