Topic: Survivalist - Two Player issues...

Please help team! I just signed up here to try and help my kids connect and play Survivalist. One is accessing via iPad, one on our tv through AppleTV. Both have GameCenter Ids and have been able to connect as friends. My eldest son of 12 can't host or join based on "online service is disabled on your account due to age restrictions". I've updated all of his Game Center settings (allowing multiplayer and "friends nearby"). I've double-checked his age in Game Center and he's fine there. The only thing I can think of is in the top corner of each kids' screen it says "offline". Can't find anywhere within the game itself to change this?

@KTOHNC I can only make some guesses, but some systems take a while to update databases. I recall someone having a problem changing their nintendo account or an Epic Games account (Fortnite) for something, and it took 3-5 hours for the change to take affect. They thought they were screwing up or missing something, but in reality they did it right, it just took serveral hours for the system to update. I know you're talking about something different, and I don't want to give you false hope, but I just wanted to float that possibility.

I don't use apple, but the connection issue may be with the ipad settings, not in-game settings. I don't know if you've got another game or app to try, in order to see if they can access internet signal. And make sure your router is running. I don't mean any of that to sound insulting, but when troubleshooting, sometimes it's a basic, taken-for-granted thing that's missed. It happens to the best of us

@KTOHNC For clarity, to avoid confusion if you talk to anyone else, "The Survivalists" just released. There doesn't appear to be a Survivalists 2. The same company made Survivalists also made The Escapists and The Escapists 2. I knew what you meant though.

Thank you for taking the time to reply @WoomyNNYes ! They have other games through Apple's "Game Center" / Arcade that they have been able to connect on. This is the first/only game we've ever had a restriction pop up on. They haven't tried it today so hopefully it's what you mentioned in the first post, that perhaps it just took a while to update. Fingers crossed. Thanks again!
