Super Mario Party coming to Switch! With traditional gameplay confirmed!

That's the only part I noticed....NORMAL GAMEPLAY, no more stupid cars or...whatever Top 100 did. Let's just hope there's not...something hidden we missed that ruins it all. lol

Looks pretty fun, actually. I hope it lives up to the feeling that the trailer gave out

As long the board gameplay is back to normal, with collecting stars and buying/using items to screw others over on interesting boards. No more cars, or all those other mods we've been seeing. Maybe as additional modes or something.

@Anti-Matter I saw PeanuButterGamer and SpaceHamster play this very stupid mode before. Like, it was LIKE traditional gameplay, but no items or anything and the map was extremely small and simple. lol

The best part is playable goombas obviosuly

I guess i will delist Mario Party Top 100 from my 3DS games shopping list.

100 has a rather fun party mode, but with only one tiny board there's not much to look at.

Anyways yeah, hopefully Nintendo finally learns that we want the old modes back, the new stuff can be bonuses. I'm fine with that, it's kinda why I enjoyed 5, it had some interesting bonus modes.

I am so up for this. Big fan of the series and was hopeful we would have a Mario Party soon and here we are!!

Never played any fans in this series but I'm jacked for this. Was really the only surprise game from the direct, can't wait!

This game supporting online play will probably make or break it for me. Most of my friends live too far away to get together and play this in person. #adultlife

This actually looks pretty cool, but as the only first-party surprise of the Direct, it doesn't stand on it's own. We've had a MP game every year since 2015. It also doesn't help that I've never played MP 1-7 so I don't firsthand know why the traditional gameplay is so beloved. (Of course, I would love to try it if I can!)

The October slot would have been great for a franchise not yet on Switch (Now that I think about it, it was probably planned for Yoshi, but then that game got delayed, so...)

The playable cast looks awesome. The board gameplay, it looks normal but I'm not convinced it'll be actually good.

Online play would certainly sweeten the deal imo. But I think if there is one, they'd have said so and made a big deal out of it, which it is.

My family will play this so it's a sure purchase for me.

i'm holding on for me details on this game. it looks good and looks like it's going back to the old Mario Party. but, im skeptical.
we also don't know who developing it. Nintendo's E3 2018 page only listed Nintendo as publisher. it's probably ND Cube working on it. otherwise, i'd be shock if it's not them.

Mario Party is back!!!

The gameplay in the Treehouse segment looked fun. Much more like the classics, back to board play. Each character seems to have different abilities or special dice they can use, plus items to pick up. And they mentioned there are 80 mini games. That's incredible. Plus the addition of Toad's rec center (I think is what it was called). It looks like a local multi-player, multi-system set of mini-games.

It basically takes the tech demo part of 1-2-Switch, makes them fun, makes them four player and smashes it together with a digital version of Monopoly Gamer.

I'm impressed and excited. It looks very fun and perfect for Switch.

Now if only Fortune Street could make a comeback on the Switch, lol
