Topic: Splatoon 3

@BenAV I was only going to do the one (got the titles 'Sleepy' and 'Splat Dualies User' from it) but I accidentally misclicked it again instead of backing out and for a brief moment, I thought I had just wasted 30k G. HOW WRONG I WAS.

@Snatcher They basically make it so you can guarantee specific abilities on specific gear rather than it being random whenever the gear levels up. It's exceptionally handy if there's a specific ability that some weapons want a ton of (for example, Splatlings like to run a metric truckton of Run Speed Up due to strafing so often and this lets them get all of that relatively easily). It's not necessary to enjoy the game (I never used them myself in 2) but it's great for competitive as a whole

Apparently S3 sold 3.45m copies in three days in Japan.

Oh my.

Apparently other regions aren't selling as high, the UK had a 9% drop compared to the retail sales of Splatoon 2 despite having more Switch users now.

What does that mean? Who knows, I'm too busy getting annoyed with team who keeping spamming messages and refusing to ink stuff.

I'm finding that lots of people are treating Turf War like Team Deathmatch leaving large parts of the spawn area not inked unless I do it.

@Magician Splatoon in Japan is the equivalent of Animal Crossing in early 2020: it f***** SELLS.

I'm not complaining though: Splatoon is one of my favourite series and seeing it do this well makes me over the moon

I wish Nintendo had dedicated servers for the game (if that's even feasible with so many matches going on at the same time), especially since we're paying for Nintendo Switch Online now. Connection errors and someone disconnecting in the middle of a match is way too frequent. Fortunately the matches are so short that it's fast that it's not that big of a deal and it's fast to get into a new match. And it's way easier to reform a group than in Splatoon 2. I just wanted to rant a bit!

@Grumblevolcano Tell me about it! It happens way too often that we have lost because a small part near spawn has been left completely uninked... :---D

@Fizza So, that capsule prize you got with 10 ability chunks for all abilities, was that a 5,000 pt capsule or a 30,000? I'm dying to know.

@WoomyNNYes Oh right, sorry for not getting back to you on that! It was a 30k one (I may be lucky but I don't think I'm that lucky XD).

After thinking it over for a bit, I've come to a decision on which one I'll be picking: Grub.

Think about it: having any food you want means you'll always be having fun, and it'll give you the energy to create/go out looking for gear to escape the island. My logic is infallible.

Also, I've now gone with teams from both Frye and Big Man now, despite Shiver being my favourite. Maybe next time? I really hope so.

@WoomyNNYes There's a toy zapfish near where Callie and Marie are in the first Alterna area which allows you to revisit the crater.

I need more facts before I can make a decision. Like if I am stranded with people then I’d would definitely choose gear so I can use the gun to kill them followed by the the knives to carve them up so I can use their flesh as food and their bones to build a xylophone like in the cartoons for fun, maybe I will turn their skull into a muppet to entertain me too.
