Topic: Splatoon 2

Anyone wonder what the amiibo will unlock? I suspect Pearl's will be the Emperor gear and Marina the Octoling armor.

Does anybody happen to have a Splash Mob-branded headgear with Swim Speed Up as a main ability or a Krak-On-branded headgear with Ink Saver Main? I'd need it to finish off a set.

@Caldorosso-E I think they will act like the Callie and Marie amiibo in Splatoon Wii U, so basically allow you to have Inkopolis Square be in its Splatfest form.

All random does not sound too good to me. has a flashback to when the entire team had Chargers and promptly failed No ... not again.

What in the actual heck splatoon devs?!?! Cannons in the shifty station...So 1 sided especially if you are on the losing end. Such an unbalanced map.good grief...

@MegaMari0 Honestly, the cannons didn‘t feel that overpowered to me, especially the one in the middle, which is the most open and unsafe position to be in. The cannons by the bases can cover a lot of range, sure, but both teams have one. The issue, as always, is having bad shots in there that don‘t know how to work them. It‘s not really that one-sided really. Wait ... has the Splatfest already started?

@MegaMari0 After spending a bit of time on that map, I actually started avoiding the cannons by the end of it. They leave you pretty vulnerable, and the slow speed of bullets makes it relatively hard to hit people far away. Also, the stage provides a certain amount of cover.

That was one of my favourite Shifty Station. Probably my outright favourite.

Are any of the Shifty maps likely to come back? I, too, absolutely loved the latest layout - it'd be a shame to think that it'd be gone forever...

I think it'd be really cool if (after they've finished adding content/doing Splatfest's) they'd bring back all of the Shifty layouts in some form or other - possibly by making it so that one random Shifty map is playable every weekend perhaps? ..or just adding them all to the regular rotation (eg. 3 stage rotation, always 1 Shifty?)

Anyone think that's likely? ..or are they gone for good?

@NaviAndMii Given new content was only announced for a year, I think the Shifty maps will repeat over the 2nd year of Splatfests. So like this cannon Shifty map being for the February 2019 Splatfest.

@Grumblevolcano That'd be cool I'd love to see them added in permanently once all of the updates/Splatfests are done - but I'd also be pretty happy to see each Shifty map get a second outing in the year 2 Splatfest's...it'd just be sad to think that they'd be gone forever!

Maybe one random Shify Station at a time will appear once all the Splatfests are finished.

@NaviAndMii Well what'll happen with Splatoon 2 in general after the Splatfests finish is a big question itself. Was Splatoon 2 released in 2017 to quickly get Splatoon onto Switch, because they planned on releasing a new game every 2 years, both or maybe some other reason?

They might run a poll to see which shifty maps are most popular, then make the winner(s) permanent stages, after editing them slightly.

I really like the layout of this shifty station. the canons are a fun gimmick, but I'd like the general layout even without them there if they weren't

I‘d say they have us vote for four or five of our favorite Shifty Stations and add them as normal stages. They still count as one stage but they change in a fixed rotation every time the stage appears as each variation still plays differently with different weapons.

@Dev That‘s not surprising. Nobody with good sense of morales chooses Money over Love and wears the fact on his shirt for all the world to see. Should‘ve gone with them gherkins, NA!
