Topic: Skyward Sword Tease

I'm beginning to wonder if this is something that will drop during the game awards next week. Kind of in the same sense as the dlc2 was for botw.. Nintendo makes announcements during these shows so at the very minimum it would be cool to hear it's coming. Also what's going on with that rumored November direct? were only a few days away from December. Both of those would surely announce a zelda game coming be it new or port.

@nintendobynature I’m guessing the rumor was fake. There probably aren’t enough new games to justify another Nov. Direct instead of one in Dec./Jan.

@nintendobynature Probably fake because of the combination of these 3 things:

• September Direct reveals about early 2019
• November Smash Direct
• The Game Awards next week

We'll know for sure tomorrow but it seems more likely that Nintendo would use The Game Awards to do reveals than a November/December Direct. We already know January's main games are NSMBU Deluxe and Travis Strikes Again and if there's February games/DLC Nintendo could announce it at The Game Awards like they did with Bayonetta 1+2 last year.

I don't think Skyward Sword HD would be a Game Awards reveal unless Nintendo were to tease a BotW sequel at the same time though.

Considering how long Majora's Mask 3D was teased, I doubt we'll be seeing this for a while tbh.

I'm 95% certain Skyward Sword HD is happening btw, there's no good reason not to if they've already remade every other 3D Zelda.

@PolarExperience yea you're probabaly right. Even though smash is days away, building up some more hype right before the holidays would be a good way to keep momentum going thru the holiday season and beyond. I guess there's more than enough momentum though with Pokemon and smash. @Grumblevolcano I hear you. It probabaly was fake. And im totally fine with that as long as we get some juicy news next week at the awards. I'm itching for info on new games or ports.

This particular rumor may be fake, but I think it's happening at some point. It would be insane to not have a Zelda game, at all, for the next five years on a system that's doing well. I know that Nintendo systems only have one or two Zeldas, but plenty have had off-shoots and/or ports.

I still think some thing is happening this week at the game awards show. Skyward sword just became a my Nintendo rewards sale. Things usually go on sale when it's counterpart is coming out soon. At least that's how i feel. Could be totally wrong though.

The source and nature of the associated "leak" definitely suggests this is going to happen, but there is of course no way of knowing when. Going back to the source again, it feels like it must be an early 2019 title, else I'm not convinced they'd know anything about it. I'm expecting a Nintendo Direct in early January, and I think Skyward Sword HD will be amongst the announcements.

I agree something is going to happen soon. Be it game awards or January direct, Too many rumors and information popping up left and right zelda related, whether it's skyward sword or another title though, is the question. I wouldn't be suprised surprised if we get a compilation of n64 zelda titles and a new 2d zelda.
