@Ralizah Agreed, I hope this game does well enough. It's on other platforms too and it has positive reviews on Steam, so I reckon this game will be just fine in terms of its own sales? Who knows.

I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!
Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.
@Ralizah Keep in mind it's a multiplat release, so it's launching during a PS4/X1 drought before the heavy hitters come out. It's just inconvenient that it's up against Octopath on Switch. (Or good planning on S-E's part to launch Octopath when both Nicalis and Sega were launching RPGs on Switch...) It'll make Switch look bad though on the spreadsheet if they're not taking into account Square's hit. The only way around it would be to make Switch another late port....and that's worse!
Twenty hours in, just started Op 5. Still really enjoying my time in this game. I hope this game sold well enough for Sega to justify bringing more of their back-catalog to the Switch. Because games like this remind me how awesome Sega once was in this industry.
My anticipation for Valkyria Chronicles 4 in September is quickly rising.

I downloaded Shining Resonance when it released and it's really grown on me. Is combo-ing attacks based on timing or something? Because sometimes my attack inputs don't register and character I'm controlling will only swing once even though I'm mashing the A-button, and this mostly happens when I try playing with Sonia. And what do the colors and icons on the Bond Diagram mean? And is there anywhere to see all the quests you've accepted?

With your basic attacks, you might be running out of stamina. When in combat, you'll see a u-shaped bar below your character. That depletes as you use basic attacks. If the bar gets low enough, you won't be able to use break attacks or basic attacks. Force attacks use MP rather than stamina, so it's generally a good idea to use a force attack at the end of a basic combination. Your stamina will refill while casting the force attack.
The bond system? I still don't fully understand it either. The only description the game gives is that the bond system somehow affects the strength and frequency of radiance. Which is a random system that gives either buffs to your party and/or debuffs to enemies.
And you can view your current, accepted quests by pressing the right trigger button. You can also access the world map by pressing the minus button. That'll provide you with a location marker for your main quest. While all the side quest missions...well...you'll have to do some guesswork as to where and what weather you'll need to complete those side quests. For that, all you get is a picture of the location the item or enemy might be.

Quick question for UK buyers. Does your copy (of the Launch edition) have a green or yellow triangle at the bottom if the spine?
Little late to the party but finally got my copy yesterday and disappointed to see a yellow triangle on the bottom of mine (think that represents the Nordic nations). Prefer the consistency of green for UK. Haven’t opened it up yet though.
For those of you that played this, how long a game is it, generally, compared to XC2, or other RPGs? I've checked HLTB, but their numbers seldom seem to translate into meaningful things for me. I'm trying to figure out if I'd be done with it within 3 weeks until Torna comes out or not
@Lordrahl88 Thanks, good to know! I might just do some Titan Quest for a few weeks then. I already played it like 20 times a decade ago...but it never gets old
Amazon was completely sold out of the Switch version, so I decided to check out Walmart since their app was pre-loaded on my tablet, and absolutely no one must think of Walmart when it comes to buying games (at least more niche properties like this), because I was able to nab the Special Edition (with a steel case), with 2 day shipping, for just a tad over $50.
