Did anyone manage to get the new Shantae plush from Best Buy? I cannot seem to figure out where the download code is for the Seven Sirens game. The back of the box tells me "Present this box to any cashier" The download code should be on the receipt. I see no code on receipt I have looked in my spam folder, promotion folder as well as primary. As usual Best Buy help desk was no help. I just paid $50 for a plush with no download code? It's very nice plush but this is false advertising.
@stuntz0rZ In case you got someone that didn't fully understand the situation at the help desk, ask for the manager. The manager will be most knowledgable, likely have more concern for your satisfaction, and have more power to resolve the situation. Or return the plush for a refund, if you thought you were getting the game. You have that right if the product didn't deliver.
The way it is worded to "present the box" to a cashier, it kind of sounds like the code isn't issued upon initial purchase and that the code is granted by bringing the box back. I suppose this may be a measure to prevent any weird issues involving possible scalping and reselling game codes separately. That's just one idea. I would go to the store with the box and receipt and see about the code. As you say there is no code on the original receipt, it should be a simple matter to sort out since it would provide proof that you purchased the item. Good luck to you.
