Topic: Salt and Sanctuary

So I’ve just downloaded this game. I’ve never played dark souls and think S&S is the hardest modern game I’ve played. I’m kind of on the fence on whether deaths are cheap or not. Mainly because the combat is so satisfying which is kind of it’s redemption. I’ve beaten the first boss and am up to the kracken. The last sanctuary is so far away from the boss fight though I don’t know how I’m going to do it? Anyway, I mainly created this post to ask how to use magic/incantations. I’m a knight class and have mainly unlocked strength points on the skill tree. How do I summon someone so I can buy/use spells? Will this even help? Also how do you warp between sanctuarys?
