Just curious, could anyone confirm if Resident Evil Zero still has long loading times, or did it get that well-needed patch to fix it up?

Tempted to buy it during the sale. Loved ReMake back on the GC

No one answered?
I'm wondering the same right now
If you have the games can you confirm if it has been fixed or not?

@Saad_Moonwalker I took the dip and got it, load times aren’t too bad really, just a little annoying during the first areas since it is so close-quarters. Otherwise it runs really well and looks good on the small screen (OLED it looks really nice with all the dark scenes).

@NeonPizza Thanks for your reply! I ended up getting it on Switch in the end, couldn’t resist. Holds up really well on the small screen but I am imagining you’d be right about it looking blurrier and softer on the big screen. Maybe it’s best played in handheld, I’m finding a fair few multiplat games hold up better that way. If the frame rate and resolution hold up well in handheld, then I usually go for that version.

@NeonPizza
I don't believe it's a hardware limitations but a lazy port from Capcom (as usual) with many games they released on Switch, they are poor and simply a cash grab.

@NeonPizza Oh wow, I had no idea they lost the Remake source code! Glad I skipped rebuying that version, keep the memories coated in nostalgia haha,. Finished it on the GameCube and it blew me away at the time, a proper way to remake a classic (before Remake 2 & 3 raised the bar).

@Kintypoo121 IDK, I just barely started it, but it looks great to me. (Even if they lost the code, they still did enough with to make it look nice and sharp. I even prefer the very subtle color shift… everything has a slightly more natural tone imo.) Never played the GameCube version (just seen some clips), so… use that information however you want, heh.

@Kintypoo121 Have you tried it on a TV yet? Remake looks great at a full 1080p (or close enough). Is Zero worse? Looks nice on YouTube, but haven’t fired it up yet… Maybe I’ll go do that lol.

@BlubberWhale Oh that’s good to hear that it looks good on the big screen! I still do have a very soft spot for RE1 Remake ~ I didn’t play it on the TV, mainly saving TV games for co-op with the better half, and indulging in handheld when we’re not gaming together.

One game series that really does need to be on the big screen in my opinion is Xenoblade DE and 2. They look so muddy on the little screen, but scale up really well on the big screen with the extra umph of the higher clock speeds. Which is strange as I found most other games look better scaled down in handheld 🤔

Yeah that does sound strange about Xenoblade looking better blown up on the big screen, ha, but I’ll take your word for it, have not played any Xenoblades yet.

Are you lucky enough to have a better half that would enjoy watching you play through REmake, or not so much? Obviously co-op is better most of the time, but I’m thinking back to when I played RE4 on Wii with two friends. We kind of passed the controller every so often and it was a blast.

@BlubberWhale Haha, I don't think she'd be up for that, not the biggest horror fan. I guess neither am I, but I do really love the Resident Evil (and Silent Hill) series, it's that feeling of dread, coupled with only a few good jump scares.

Playing the Wii version of RE4 that way sounds like fun! That's the only version I played through to the end and it is a blast with the Wiimote! Was tempted to get the Switch version but no gyro means no buy
