Hi all, I’m attempting to help a friend of mine who owns a Nintendo switch. The problem I’m facing is this particular switch had parental controls activated by someone who refuses to give the password and has the account linked to the app on their phone.

Is there a way for me to remove the password on this device.

@Blxdewvrk Not unless he can some how find it then I'm pretty sure not.

Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

(My friend code is SW-7322-1645-6323, please ask me before you use it)

Sorry for not being active much recently, but I’m very much alive!

@Blxdewvrk Why won't they give him/her the password? I don't think there is a workaround for this. Maybe try restoring the Switch to factory settings?

@Eel @PoliticallyIncorrect @Snatcher I’m 18 but I’m doing this for my younger sister, her birth mother originally purchased it but she is a scumbag and set up the password because she’s a control freak. Bit of a long very personal story so not gonna share the details but essentially my sister wants to sell the switch and our parents are supportive so I’m just trying to find a way.

I’m afraid the only thing you can do is contact Nintendo and hope they want to help.

We can’t give you any other advice as far as I know. I'm not sure if factory resets work with parental controls or not.

@Blxdewvrk The only advice I have is what I said previously. Haven't had to deal with this situation myself.

@Blxdewvrk I would suggest what @PoliticallyIncorrect said, I'm pretty sure turning it back to the factory settings will work, have a nice day.
