Blows my mind Bluepoint didn't just immediately jump into doing Ico after Shadow of the Colossus

1. Super Metroid (after they release a new 2D Metroid).

2. Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly (the game is barren in many areas despite having good ideas like Spyro firing not only fire, but also ice, mini-thunder rays and other things).

3. Kirby Air Ride (w/online City Trial).

4. Zelda Phantom Hourglass (remaked to be a 3D game based on Wind Waker. The story is good, but it is one of the hardest and most tedious 2.5D Zelda).

5. Megaman X Command Mission. There’s almost no issues with this game. Just want that they add a difficulty options so that other people can enjoy this game in this time, were the RPGs are having a surge of popularity, and hopefully that this entices Capcom to make Command Mission sequels.

6. Donkey Kong Country 1, 2 and 3. (Excellent games and the 3 need some QoL options/adjustments).

7. Diddy Kong Racing (the DS remake balloons popping missions are so frustrating and boring. I mean, this is a racing game. Yes, the race coin collecting of 64 are not easy, but were manageable and can be adjusted/toned down in a new better remake).

8. Bomberman 64 (I know the chances are not high with this one).

9. Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards (They remaked Kirby's Adventure for GBA, naming it Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland. So I think it's time for another Kirby game to be remaked, and this one could be used as the first steps toward a 3D Kirby game. And also because this is a great game.

10. Final Fantasy 3 (the real 3, not the SNES one). This one is more about it being one of (if not the) first game to talk about the Warriors of Light (at least in the DS remake they talked about them) and also talked about the previous their predecessors being the Warriors of Darkness (see the DS game, as I don't want to spoil why they appeared).

11. Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (which could happen in 2021).

12. Donkey Kong 64. Hopefully Nintendo look at the game's good sales and decided to remake it with some changes/QoL. I think this game deserves a second chance.

The two dream remakes for me would be:
1. Mother 3 with HD quality 2d artwork
2. Majora's Mask in a BOTW style world, actual 72 hours to work with

There are so many games I've never played that I don't buy remakes much, unless I don't own the original. Honestly, half the games I would be interested in a remake I'd be more interested in a new game instead. Diddy mentioned Kirby 64 and Bomberman 64. I just want the most interesting part of those games to come back in a new game more than anything. Why is Kirby 64's gimmick of combining abilities only in that one game? Why are a lot of the great ideas Bomberman 64 had for how to make a short game longer with its golden cards only done in this one game that has tons of frustrating elements that could be fixed in a sequel? (I don't think any of the later Bomberman games did something quite like that at least...)

What I'm saying is, I'd prefer more ALBW style games. Well, I mean, the part where you make a new game using older ideas instead of a remake, not the part where they re-use the same overworld and areas...

@theJGG The 3DS version was a port, the Switch game was a full remake. That's not really a double remake. There is one example of that happening with Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen and Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee, but that's about it. And I doubt they'll do that with Metroid. There really isn't much more they could do with Zero Mission to improve upon it even more. At this point if I'm remaking any Metroid games it'd be Super, Prime, and Prime 2, and I don't think either of them will get remakes this gen.

@Dezzy "Vaguely" generally means there's a realistic chance of it happening. That's not the case for those three. Most likely none of them will get remade on the Switch. Super Metroid I could see next gen, but not now.

@kkslider5552000 Star Allies did reuse the combo abilities to a limited degree, and I think that's as far as they'll probably go in a new Kirby game. The problem with combo abilities is that the number of combos grows very large and that creates a lot of limitations on the gameplay, such as needing to limit to a small number of generic base abilities and only having one attack. HAL seems to have "moved on" and seems to want to come up with more creative ideas for copy abilities with more elaborate movesets. So in this case, I think a remake would be more appropriate. Revisit the idea in the game that it was made for and expand on it for that game (Leaf and Water would make nice additions to the game), then move onto something else for the new games.

As far as games that I would like to see a spiritual successor like ALBW, I'd go with Yoshi's Story. There's so much more they can do with the storybook theme in terms of aesthetics and gameplay that it'd be worth expanding on with a completely new entry. And with recent Yoshi games having crafting/material themes, this would be a natural fit. Imagine mechanics like having Yoshi grab a pull tab with his tongue and an entire set of platforms pops out like a pop up book, or opening flaps in the level to find new paths or secrets. Good Feel could have a field day with that game if they really dug into the game's theming.

The characters in Final Fantasy 1 were called the Warriors of Light too.

I think in the original NES version they called them Light Warriors, but it was changed to Warriors of Light in the later versions (GBA and PSP)

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

Can you expand on that Majora’s Mask idea a little bit? I’m genuinely curious how that would work.

No.

I don't have any real complex ideas about it, I just wanna combine my favorite Zelda gameplay with my favorite Zelda story, and I feel like making the 72 hour time limit actually happen in 72 hours would just be really cool. I do realize the latter idea would almost certainly be much worse in practice than in theory.

I also agree with this. There are many good ideas that could be used to make even better games than the ones already played. ALBW must have made other developers think about this. Perhaps Megaman 11 came from some people in Capcom watching the success of that game.

Geist from the Gamecube. The possession mechanic was really neat, but contols were loose and the framerate inconsistent. Just take the basic premis, but make it look and feel modern.

Wet. Combine Prince of Persia acrobatics with Max Payne gunplay and the results are pretty awesome. Game was rough around the eges though. Polish the gameplay and replace the qte bosses with actual bosses.

Eternal Darkness because Jesus this game needs more attention.

I would love HD remasters of the 3DS Fire Emblem games. The GameCube and Wii ones too.

I want 4th gen Pokemon remakes as well. Based on Platinum more than Diamond/Pearl.

I would also like to see the Xenosaga games get remade.

So allegedly there's an audio easter egg in Demon's Souls on PS5 where within the nexus you can actually hear a screaming noise that sounds borderline identical to Metal Gear REX

If Bluepoint is doing Metal Gear Solid next sign me the hell up

Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - I really hope they'll do something with Majora's Mask in the upcoming year (if nothing just remaster the 3DS version with better textures) and of course Pokémon D/P.

I am expecting, and hoping for, a remake of an older fire emblem in the next few years. Genealogy Of The Holy War seems like the obvious choice, but I remember an interview with Echoes’ director, saying he wanted to skip straight to Binding Blade.
I think it’s unlikely that there will be a Pikmin trilogy collection at this point, so maybe Pikmin 1 could get a full remake (once we have proof that 4 actually exists)?

@Nephestinus 1) I really hope Atlus slaps 3 FES and 4 Golden together in one with better resolution, some QoL features and the like. Though I started playing 4 Golden on PC I'll get it anyways because it's portable dammit!
2) Me too, but realistically Nintendo won't even localise Mother 3, so why would they?
3) Absolutely! It's a pretty long game and the release of DQXIS last year will have opened peoples' eyes to the irresistible charm of Dragon Quest.
4) Like Dragon Quest I've only gotten into Fire Emblem through the latest entires, but I'm sure that's true for a lot more people, and they will all likely agree!
5) Yes. Not for me personally, but Nintendo'll make a lot of money from it.
6) As a devout follower of the Xenoblade trilogy of games, ME WANT

Ok so apparently rumors are picking up that Sony Interactive Entertainment is finally set on acquiring Bluepoint Games, so I hope they get around to doing games like Ico and Dark Cloud after Demon's Souls assuming that they don't end up doing Metal Gear Solid like it's been cryptically hinted towards
