I remember seeing this game when it released and thinking 'That looks fun, I think my daughter would dig the mischievous angle to it', but I only told her about it recently. She's now put it on her Christmas wishlist, so I'm contemplating getting the physical release.

Just wondering about longevity though. How Long To Beat suggests it's a pretty short affair, so wondering how much replayability a 12 yr old kid might get out of it. Can you you try different stuff on each playthrough and mess around with it, or is it quite a rigid, limited linear experience?

And just generally, is it a reasonably polished game, or is it a bit rough/janky?

@Ryu_Niiyama I recall you saying you bought this some time back. You got round to playing it yet?

@gcunit yep. I got a kick out of it personally. There are a lot of references to other games (including a MGS level) and lots of little hats that reference games or make your cloud look silly. Not a difficult (or long) game but you do have certain conditions and simple puzzles to figure out. But primarily you are a cloud ruining people’s day. And it can be hilarious. Love the school one when you release the feral kindergarten kids.

To answer your question the replay value comes from satisfying all the objectives (I had to come back later to some levels) and the general humor itself. I enjoyed going back and trying to do things faster or with a different costume. But I am easily amused (once I find something I find funny). I feel most levels have one solution but sometimes getting that solution figured out is worth going back to do so faster. As always I recommend a lets play to solidify your decision.

@Ryu_Niiyama Thanks so much for the prompt and considered reply - always value your take on a game. Sounds good enough for me, it was always on my 'potential physical' wishlist anyway. I'll swerve your suggestion on a Let's Play, just cos I prefer to avoid spoiling the experience as much as possible, but appreciate the advice nonetheless 😊

@gcunit I haven't played the DLC, but the main game was fun but short. The levels are basically a few "puzzles" so there isn't a ton of replayability, but there are different goals to achieve in each level including a new game+ goal in some levels after you beat it. Plus some of the level goals are a bit tricky. Some levels you can go back and cause havoc just for fun, but some like the RPG level are kind of amazing but once is enough.

I just opened up the game and somehow accidentally destroyed a mountain on the world map while trying to recall how to change clothes and I got an achievement.... So clearly I'm not actually at 100%. I have 10 hours play time. Most of that was maybe 2 long sessions plus a few times just fiddling around.

Edit: I just started replaying some of this for the last hour. Such a hilarious game. I kinda want the DLC now.

@FishyS Thanks for your thoughts. I think you and Ryu have done enough to justify the physical purchase in my mind, given it was specifically named on a Christmas list

@gcunit Sorry if I said repeated things; I apparently can't see Ryu's posts. I guess she blocked me? I didn't actually realize you couldn't see things if other people blocked you. 🤔 Kind of sad not to see all the comments but that's what I get for getting offended on the Internet and ill-advisedly responding to it; I usually try to avoid that and still kind of feel bad for failing in a conversation involving Ryu.

Anyways, sorry, off topic. I hope your daughter enjoys the game! I have a silly/weird category for my games organization and the games I stuck in it are this game, what the golf, and untitled goose game.
