So when I log ina nd start playing Fortnite it takes way too long to load to a game. I don't get to see spawn island because it takes so long. I've tried factory resetting, deleting and redownloading the game, even taking out my sd card and putting it back in but nothing worked. I have a friend that has the older version of the switch from 2017 but his switch works perfectly fine. Other games work but Fortnite doesn't. What can I do?
@Lemonez Nintendo support has troubleshooting page for games that freeze, aren't responding. If this troubleshooting page doens't solve your issue, it may mean you have failing hardware or micro sd card.
If I were to guess, maybe your micro sd card is failing? (which would be easier to replace than having to repair the console). I had a card go bad a year ago in my phone. It would freeze when shooting video. I thought my phone was glitching, but it turned out to be a failing micro sd card. The card would freeze for any big job, like shooting video, or the card would fail when I tried to copy large files from it to the pc. Like I said, though, just a guess.
If you're not making progress, Nintendo of America support has had a good phone line (unlike some big companies). So, don't be shy to try them. I've had very positive experiences calling them. They are open during west coast work hours. https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/contact
Do you have it installed on the Switch memory or an SD card. If it's on an SD Card transfer it over to the Switch memory, this helps quite a bit with loading etc.
